Wow that person must not get out much.
What SE has done with 13 is merely expanded its fan base. I'm a very casual gamer and never bothered playing the previous FFs for more than a few hours due to how tedious they all were. The simplicity of the battle system, lack of redundant side quests...
Wanted to do one of these for a while so heres my first attempt at a music video. There's no ending spoilers or anything, but if you don't want to watch any of the cgi cutscenes before you actually reach it in the game, then this is not for you.
It's made with VideoPad so nothing fancy. I'm...
I think they have it set up pretty well for a sequel. There are the unexplained arks (e.g. fifth ark) that were said in the datalog to be "" and by that . You also have Vanille saying at the end "
The makers of ff13 also suggested they were open to the possibility of making a sequel. I wouldn't...
Most of what Mitsuru said is right except for the fact that Cocoon wasn't there from the start. The goddess Etro (aka Pulse) made pulse, humans, and pulse falcie. Then she left.
There was another god, Lindzei, who was described as serpent-like (i.e. satanic) and made Cocoon out of pieces of...
That's why I love and hate RPGs. I can play for hours on end without doing anything else. Whereas shooters, racing games, sims, RTS, I can only play for an hour or two at max, then get bored. It's really more of a bad thing actually.
That's not at all what happened....
So actually, Pulse not being populated was essential to the broader FF13 canon. Although it could just be a lazy excuse for SE to not put any humans on Pulse. Even so, it's not like you'd be able to interact with them lol.
Ummm... why don't you just change up your party depending on the situation you're facing? I know that I never had a "fixed" party throughout the game, although I did have a general exploring party (Light-Snow-Van) but only because I like those characters and they provide a useful variety of...
Wait, hold up. Game guide? Obviously with a game guide everything will be simplistic. I for one didn't use a game guide and so for the tougher boss fights, it came down to getting my ass kicked a few times, learning the pattern of attacks and what kind of attacks work best, figuring out which...
Lol this reminds me of a couple weeks ago, like a day after I finished FFIX, when I was playing Halo and my 360 RROD'd. I was actually pretty happy and was like "Yessss, thank you God."
Anyways, good luck with your PS3, luckily you weren't sucked into the game yet when the problem started.
I finished in 50 flat, although I spent at least 7-8 hours grinding once I got to the last chapter. Only did like 3 of the missions and have no incentive to go back and do any more since for me it's a complete waste of time and I only cared about the story anyways.
Somewhere between 5-8 minutes on the second try.
When he's in devastation mode or whatever it's called, don't bother trying to do damage. Focus on buffing and healing as his attacks drain HP too quickly. Ideally, you should have 2 medics in your party. As soon as you see him about to do...
So when Orphan said,
"Fal'cie are created for a single purpose and granted with finite power to that end. With men it is not so. Men, dream, aspire, and through indomitable force of will achieve the impossible. Your power is beyond measure. We take l'cie that we may wield such strength."
I...
I don't mind there not being any legit towns, NPC interactions, and real side quests actually. My only incentive for playing this game was to finish the story, and if there were a bunch of towns, full of people you could talk to to get side quests, the main plot would've lost focus even more...
