So basically I wanted to see what other people thoughts about what there favorite Openings in anime:awesome:

5)Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan 2nd Op
this anime is fucking wierd just listen to the first sentence on wikipeida "Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan tells the story of Sakura Kusakabe, a second-year junior high school student who, twenty years in the future, while attempting to create a Pedophile's World forces all women to stop aging after the age of twelve."
Anyway this opening is wierd, sick and retarded yet i love it even my friend who don't like anime likes it

4)Yu-Gi-Oh Season 0 Op
Ahhh this brings back memory's Yu-Gi-Oh season 0 was the only good series of Yu-Gi-Oh and one of the first animes i watched that didn't come to UK shores

This opening is the SHIT Bright, Colourful, Cutesy just like the Anime the song gets you in the mood to watch it.

3)The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 2nd season

1) Lilium - Elfen Lied (song only)
I don't think I'd be allowed to post a link to the OP itself, due to nudity, so I'm going to err on the side of caution. However...I absolutely adore this song. Its one of the most beautiful and melancholy pieces I've ever heard, and it suits the anime perfectly. The opening animation is simple and sweet, and directly references to Gustav Klint's art as well, which is quite a nice homage.

2) Ringo Mogire Beam! - Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
3) Kuusou Rumba - Zoku/Goku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
4) Hito to Shite ga Bureteiru - Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
The reasons for those three are more or less the same. The songs are all sung by the cast of the show, which is a nice touch; not to mention they sing pretty well, and the songs themselves really start to grow on you after a while. At least, they make me want to sing along, and I can't sit still when I listen to them either. The opening animation itself is...freaky. Its almost cubist in its execution at points, and its a nice change from the usual sort of thing you see. Plus...they just keep getting better and better~<3

5) Seishoujo Ryouiki - Rozen Maiden traumend
Whilst I prefer Kinjirareta Asobi as a song, I absolutely love the animation for this one. Its simple, stylish and almost cel-shaded. Plus the song itself isn't too bad, either~

1: Naruto OP 2: Haruka Kanata -- [Kung Fu Generation]
This was my favorite since I saw it. I can sing all of the words


2: Darker Than BLACK OP 1 -- Howling by Abingdon Boys School.
Ah, not only is the anime freakin' awesome, but the music is nice too. Sure Bones ended the show like shite, but its still good.


3: (Naruto OP 5)Sambomaster: Seishun Kyousou Kyoku.
I know all the words to this one too. Although its my third fav.


4: Full Metal Alchemist OP 1 -- By two people.
Its good, but the last part of the song is the best. I admit, the video is the reason I gave the song (watched the song before) a real chance.


And lastly, because it was the first anime opening I've ever heard and knew all the words to....

5: Pokemon OP 1 -- I wanna Be (don't know the name lol).
Anyway, was a kid, loved Pokemon and learned the lyrics. It may sound dorky, but I still like the theme song

 
1) Tenchi Muyo(the original series) I also like the end theme as well
2)One Piece-what can I say, I love one piece
3) Bleach-although it does change from time to time, i've actually learned to like them all
as for the rest, I will come back with when I can think and not up at 3 in the morning.
 
Hmmmm this is a difficult one as i have so many favourites, guess i can shorted them down to five :)

Note that these are in no particular order just some of my favourites. all of them are my top five. :)

vampire knight

this opening scene seemed to ooze sexiness but with class at the same time. i really liked this anime and everytime the opening came on you anticipated the whole episode which is something you want with a anime opening. maybe very simplistic though in the whole way it is set up but it seemed to work really well.

bleach - ichirin no hana

i have always loved bleaches opening themes, the music always seem to merge really well but i like this one the best because it seemed to suit the whole season really well and i suppose just like a fangirl it had all the best bits i adored XD

naruto shippuden

i dont have a favourite of the openings because i find there all brilliant and my favourites. they just seem so fast and energetic just like the characters.

wolves rain

i have always adored the opening from wolves rain it just seems so inspirational and as soon as i heard it i brought the whole soundtrack lol. it suits the whole anime so well and from the opening it makes you want to know more about the anime. it is not fast paced, overfilled with fighting just pure slowness but in a calming sense it is hard to discribe i guess.

this anime cracks me up so much just from the opening, it is a pure thing to make you sit back and go WTF whilst your watching it begin. the whole anime is random, strange and funny as hell and the whole opening really shows that. it was what drew me to the anime because i wanted to know why it was so random. i mean a gorilla, someone like freddy mercury and a robot WTF hehe

1.Bleach-ichirin no hana... very good song :D all the Bleach songs are great!
2.Elfen Lied-Lilium...a very good one and sad in the same time..
3.Vampire Knight-the song is very nice,I listen to it everyday and gives me a feeling..*shivers*
4.Darker than Black-very good song and the graphic very nice:D

5. Gotta Catch 'em All (Pokemon)
The theme for the very first season of Pokemon, if I'm not mistaken. Pretty catchy, at least when I was younger.

4. I don't know the name (Dragon Ball GT)
I know lots of people hate this version of Dragon Ball, but I liked it and the intro.

3. All Openings (Ranma 1/2)
I love all of the openings from Ranma 1/2. Such a nice show.

The only opening I bothered to look for. Ever since I watched the English-subbed version of the anime on Youtube, I slowly grew to love the theme song.

1. Dragon Ball Z
I grew up watching Dragon Ball Z, and I loved all opening sequences. Especially during the Cell saga.
 
Railgun and Index have some pretty awesome openings. Index OP1 "PSI-Missing" is my favourite OP of all time, and Railgun's OP1 "only my railgun" and OP2 "LEVEL 5 -judgelight-" are rather epic as well.
Hellsing's OP is worth mentioning for being unique, FMA's Ready Steady Go is great as well.
Lucky Star's OP "Motteke! Sailor Fuku" deserves being in every list of favourite OPs - it's one of the most famous OPs ever!
And Code Geass' OP1 "COLORS".... JIBUN WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!


Since I'm here I'll also put my favourite endings.
While they're not typical anime EDs, Kara no Kyoukai's EDs are very beautiful. ED1 "oblivious" and ED5 "Sprinter", specifically.
Code Geass ED1 "Yuukyou Seishunka" and ED4 (R2's second ED) "Waga Routashi Aku no Hana" are awesome.
The famous Hare Hare Yukai goes here as well for the same reason as Motteke! Sailor Fuku. I'm still trying to learn how to do that dance D:


So yeah, there isn't a top 5 here, and they're all about at the same spot, except for PSI-Missing which is number one.
 
5.Asterisk Orange Range Bleach opening

The song and Animation of this one is very nostalgic and has a summer feel so I love it.

The only good Naruto Opening.

3.After Dark Bleach opening

Another Bleach Opening. But I can't help it the best opening come from Bleach.

Hard to pick one over another out of my faves but in no particular order, my top five are:

- Blood+ ("Aozora no Namida")
- Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (both 1st and 2nd Gig, "Inner Universe" and "Rise")
- Ergo Proxy ("Kiri")
- Neon Genesis Evangelion ("A Cruel Angel's Thesis")
- Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann ("Sorairo Days")
 
Okay, of course, my picks are going to be completely my own, typically based on a solid combination of montages and music. Most will probably be American, and I'm probably forgetting a lot of good ones.

Cowboy Bebop: English (Opening 1): What's not to like? Great, unique set up going on with a nice, jazzy theme to match.

Rurouni Kenshin: Freckles (opening 1): Not the techno remix, but the main one. Shots were a bit dull at times, but they showcased the different character types well. Best thing about it? Love the song.

Naruto: Fighting Dreamers (Opening ?): Coming from someone who couldn't care less (and maybe hates) this anime, I really liked the opening. It's the song in particular.

Code Geass R2: Flow - Realize (Opening 2): The character montages are pretty sick. Not sure about all the neon highlights, but it's sort of thrilling. Fantastic artwork with gorgeous paint details. Best part, of course, is the awesome song that starts riffing like crazy about 6 seconds in.

Medabots: English (Opening 1): Who cares if the lyrics weren't even always comprised of complete sentences? Medabots has like one of the greatest openings ever. The music and the underlying beat are just so sick, and the whole echoing effect with the words matches it well. Furthermore, the montage is sick, and again, it synchs up very well.

Other good ones:

Pokemon: Johto "A Whole New World" Theme: This is nostalgia-filled, but honestly, the lyricist was awesome and the baseline was great.

Pokemon: Johto League Champions Theme: Awesome song, awesome montage.

Soul Eater: TM Revolution - Resonance (Opening 1)
Yu Yu Hakusho: English Opening: Great artwork, great song.

Something I've learned from my own answers in this thread? The mainstream anime typically have all the best themes. I guess they have hook ups to better bands or something? I don't know, but the themes are awesome, regardless of the shows they're attached to.
