learrrrrrrrrrrrnt...........learned? ler-ned 8(

mayonaise and salad cream

used to hate both of them but i swear by the stuff nowadays. Il put it on anything and everything except chips.
Quite funny but as a kid (6-10yrl old) i thought irn bru was horrible, its my drug now. I need my fix of irn bru daily or its just not the same.

What is salad cream? 8(

That being said, I've learned to love certain salads...especially ones that have cabbage or spinach on them. Or cranberries or nuts. Although I do still need to have bits of chicken or something meaty in there to keep me from completely gagging. :wacky:

Certain fish as well. There used to be a time when I wouldn't even touch tilapia or milkfish, but I try it every once in a while and I sort of like it. :hmmm:

i went on and off fish a lot through my childhood, but now i really like it. because of my days when i hated it, i'm still really funny about trying new fish (never had scampi or salmon) though.

i also, oddly, used to despise hash browns as a kid, and now i absolutely love them. :wacky:

Tomatoes. I used to hate them. But one day I had them on a sandwich and now they are my one of my favorite foods.

Sour cream. Again, I hated the taste when I was a kid. Then I unknowingly ate some in mashed potatoes and loved the way they tasted. When I asked what was in them, I was shocked to hear sour cream.

Mustard. Again, hated it as a kid then one day someone accidently put in on my hotdog. I didn't want to complain so I just ate it and liked it.

Trifle - I Couldn't stand it a few years back and use to eat the cream at the top and throw the rest away but i had one a few months ago and could eat it no problem..

Sprouts as well but i can only eat them when they have salt or pepper on them

Mushrooms, rice and garlic.

I wouldn't let anyone give me any of these in my food.

If my mum was cooking stirfry I only wanted the meat and veges. It was either noodles to go with it or nothing. She always cooked rice and it shit me off. <_<

These days I love Sushi, which mostly consists of rice. XD

Mushrooms were just not for me as well. I hated them. >.<

Then eventually I grew to love them as Steve and my best friend loved them and always put them in meals even if I said no. XD I even go and buy them now that's how much they've influenced my taste. XD

And garlic. Ewe I just could not stand the stuff at one stage. It really was a turn off.

Now I put it in just about everything. Huge amounts of it too. =P

It's strange how over the last four years I've grown to love a lot of foods that I would never have touched, given the option once before.

Pepper :gasp: I never used to like it in anything, I hated the smell of it for some reason as a kid, but ever since I've had a bunch of foods in recent years that were cooked with it as a spice, and loved it, I've had no problem with pepper, and have willingly put it on things of my own making :)

I also never used to eat bread crusts of any kind as a kid because my dad told me they would make me grow hair on my chest, but when I learned that it wasn't true and had some on some really gooey peanut butter and jelly sandwiches where the juices had soaked into the crust, I really started to like them, and now I usually have no problem with them.

Mushrooms are actually the only food, that I have tried that I hated. I loved them raw but not cooked? But as I have gotten older I have grown to like them. But your taste pallet changes as you grow up anyway.

Bacon

I used to really hate the stuff when I was a kid, mainly because my Dad would make it for us all the time and I thought it tasted rancid. But now I love it in a Sandwich with some brown sauce, yummm.

Salt and Vinegar crisps

Used to be my worst flavour because they were TOO salty, but now I love them, and they're my favourite flavour, along with prawn cocktail, weird eh? o_O

Fish - I didn't like it when I was a kid but now it's like my favorite food, I just can't have enough. :(

Salt - I used to think salty food is the worst, but apparently I grew to be like my dad, use excessive amount of salt on food. -.- What people think of as normal I think of it as there's no salt in there, nowadays. <_<

Mayonnaise - I just wait for the time to use it. I especially like it with any kind of meat or chicken, so use it at those times. <_<

Salad - I grew to hate all kinds of salad but the one my dad makes, is just out of this world, it has a salty yet spicy taste, it's amazing, I must have it everyday at lunch.

tomatoes. Used to pick them off/never have them, now I love them, espeically cherry toms, i can just scoff them by the hand full

mushrooms, used to like them raw, but hated them cooked. It was the texture more than anything I think really.

Garlic, the smell of it used to knock me sick. Absolutely love the stuff, couldnt imagine life without it :rage:

Theres likely more, but thems the main ones

Tomato soup.

Steak.

Roast Beef.

I disliked all three when I was younger, but tomato soup grew on me when I was making it for my Nanny(grandmother) for a while. They other two just kind of happened. Tried them not that long ago and now I like them. xD

Fish!! I used to HATE fish, now all of a sudden I can't get enough of it! Mmmm delicious fish!

Definitely fish like halibut and the more pungent kind. I prefer a bland fish if I can help it, but one that tastes like it came fresh out of the ocean isn't so bad anymore. This includes foods like sushi, which I really wasn't fond of until my brother introduced me to some dishes that were just really flippin' good (like the fried eel roll).

Another kind of food I've come to love is Indian food. At first, I wasn't very fond of it: the curry and all the spicy stuff, but now I can't get enough of it!

Mushrooms-I swore them my enemy when I was younger and now I loooooooove them (even though they are grown in poo, literally). I love them on my steaks and in my cream of mushroom soup...but I will never eat them on my pizza *blech*

Artichokes- I used to think they were completely sick, but now I love them in Artichoke dip. I've never seen them prepared any other way though, so maybe I wouldn't say I liked them if they were made in anything other than the dip?

Wheat bread- I've grown up on white bread so when I tried wheat it wasn't a personal fav, but now I like it. It is the healthier alternative.

Mayonnaise- I used to hate it but now I love it. Especially on chicken sandwiches- yum yum.

Its funny how your tastes change as you grow older.

Hair...

Joking. I actually used to hate Jack in the Box food but not I find the shit to be on the same level of addiction as crack. Although, I've actually gotten kind of sick of it again. Their burgers taste kinda funny now.

When I was younger, I was a really picky eater. I hated a lot of things but, I eventually came to love food xD.

I used to hate a lot of veggies. :hmmm: Veggies are really good to me now and I love eating like salads an' whatnot.

Things i use to hate:

Onions

Mushrooms

broccoli

olives

peppers

tomatoes

meatloaf.

I have learned to love Romanian foods, very exotic and flavorful European delight!!
Well I am from a Romanian family so that's why I love those kinds of foods, I'm hungry right now just thinking about it!!!

Green beans. I used to hate them so much :ahmed: But now I frickin' LOVE them, they're so delicious when seasoned right. :ryan:

Spinach. I use to hate it with a passion. :ahmed: Now I can't get enough of it :jess:

Sushi, the first time i looked at some sushi it didn't look appetizing to me at all.

It looked raw and i just couldn't even imagine myself eating it, till one night on february 12th 2008. I tried it and i loved it, i couldn't get enough of it, i go out and eat some every chance i get now. x]
