Help [FFX] need help with caladbog

I didn't get the sun crest first time around, but when i went back it wasn't there and i couldent go up or down the stairs like your supposed to.
Am i missing something

You need to beat the chocobo woman in race and you will be able to go back down there, or beat your best time, one or the other.... pretty sure you just have to beat her though

EDIT: Oh, nvm. You need to get a time of 0.0 seconds in the race.

Oh shit, that one... its just a chest at the back of the room innit? Once you beat her you can go in and grab it...unless you have the pal version and dark bahamut is there waiting to scare you half to death and kill you

I'm about 90% sure (which means absolutely nothing) that it comes after the Yunalesca fight.

I'd Google it, but I really can't be arsed/care that much.

If it's that one, then the chest is just...there in the room afterwards innit?

Wait, you go down the stairs at the back of the room dont you?

then it just like...appears near the front set of stairs?

Thanks. I'm gonna go try for the chocobo race again, although i would rather attempt brain surgery, it would be easier.
