Damian Delvo (FFGuy)

Necro Cloud (Dark Lusi)

Cairn Rosencraft (Julius Argexis)

Arthvader (Arthvader)

Zeria Iiyasei (Zeria Iiyasei)

Hydra (Hydracula)

Having been informed of the competition hosted an unknown benefactor, Cairn couldn't avoid feeling slightly compelled to investigate what was all about. Clad in his usual attire, the brave knight embarked on a ship to travel to the gates of the Monster Colosseum. After a voyage of three days, Cairn found himself at a nearby port, and from that point rode on horseback all the way to the Gates of the Colosseum, still unknown to him.

The area was wild, mostly dominated by fauna and flora of some rarity. The sun shined bright on the steel plate shoulder pads protecting Cairn's shoulder, he could feel the breeze caressing his skin, his black cape waving as it was caught by the wind. His feet flattened the soft soil and the grass, the air was overrun by the simplistic sounds of the nature. Having seen other arriving as well, Cairn decided to investigate even further by asking some information to these people.

Damian, knowing that today was the day that his tournament would begin readied his battle items. He placed his backpack through his arms and over his shoulders and then picked up his dracoknight sword and staff. When fully dressed he departed from his quarters and walked at his own pace towards the gates to the 'wilderness' where he had let loose a variety of powerful and weak monsters.

As Damian arrived at the golden gates that led to the hunting grounds he took notice at the gleaming marble walls that held the monsters inside, still undamaged after the toils gathering these monsters. He then stood with his back to the gates and his staff firmly placed on the ground.

*Necro Cloud finally arrived at the Monster Hunt Tournament gate, and could hear all of the monsters yells and screeches, he then proceeded to getting ready by slicing trees in half so that their stump was the only thing left. After that he trained by firing off kuroi getsuga (Necro Cloud's energy projectile in the form of a cresent moon), destroying multiple trees at once. He then finished his training and sheathed his swords...*

That aught to do it... Now I am ready to kill the monsters in this tourny.... I wonder who my competition is, and how strong they are? Eh, it doesn't matter, I will beat them anyways....

As he approaches the gate of the monster coliseum, Arthvader took his time preparing what equipment he had on him. 'Let's see, potions: check. elixers: check. Flame Broadswords: check. Gilgamesh's Pendant: Check. it seems I'm good to go.' As he heads past the gate, he took his time looking around , seeing what he would encounter during this hunt.

'I can't wait for this to begin. I'll be sure to give it my all.'

The sound of Zeria's boots crunching on the ground signalled her approach. A man came into view, and she frowned. ~Competition...?~

"This will be no easy task. I wonder what kinds of monsters there will be....?"

As Damian saw the warriors gathering towards the gates of the Monster Hunting ground, he ensured that everyone had gather from his list held by one of his servants. After scanning through the list it seemed that everyone had arrived. Confirming them here he walked a few steps forward, nearly using his staff as a walking stick.

"Gather round, gather round. due to the absense of the reigning grand champion due to personal issues he has asked me to take his place. I presume you are all well prepared for the art of battle? My servants shall be tallying your total points and when all monsters have been slain we will total up and determine the winner. Do any of you have any questions?"

As Damian awaited any questions he placed his dracoknight sword back edged on his shoulder. With his staff still in the ground he awaited the questions of his competition.

Zeria, naturally wanting to seem strong, seeing as she was the only female, stepped forward.

"I have a question. Just how strong are the monsters and beasts in this area? What can we expect to fight?"

She grinned, an air of determination radiating about her. Nothing would frighten her...nothing...

"Are the fights going to be tough and worth the time...or are they no better than my daily training?"

Damian turned to face the female warrior, he took the sracoknight sword from his shoulder and inserted it into the ground next to him.

"Well, the monster's strength will vary on class, from the weak, lower class monsters up to the powerful upper class monsters. As for their skill compared to your daily training... It may depend greatly, though I suggest not going too mad, I'd hate to have to clear up any mess."

Damian then turned to the rest of the warriors.

"Any other questions?"

Cairn listened carefully as the man responsible for this meeting continued his speech. It appears that they were summon to test their skills, of course a reward would be awaiting for those who excelled in combat. Cairn smirked, he was confident enough in his abilities and was certain of not leaving without putting a good fight. Cairn walked towards the entrance of the hunting grounds and made a sudden stop before the giant doorway. Then, without even turning around, Cairn decided to ask just one question: "When does this starts?" Yet simple, it was fundamental to determine his fate here, Cairn never talked much than it was necessary and always made sure to say the right words with an accurate timing for the exact situations.

A great cloud of dust rose as Hydra ran at full speed towards the massive doors of the hunting grounds. About a mile away, Hydra realized he was very late: most of the trees were already slashed, broken, incinerated or even blown up.
Wow, I really shouldn't have overslept today... Hopefully I'm still in time...
Just when Hydra was starting to lose hope, he saw many figures near the great doors.
Yes, I've made it in time...
Hydra stopped a few feet away from where the others stood. After the dust had cleared, Hydra took a deep breath and approached the others.

"Sorry to be late..."

Still gasping, he analized each of his opponents.
The competition sure is strong. Aye, then it'll be more fun...
Before continuing, Hydra tried to identify Damian.

"Well, now we're all here, right?"

(All SeeD's, eh? Guess I'm still able to join then. :3)

The soft tread of boots, not able to be heard over the scream and screech of wild beasties, moved through the grass and small scrubby bushes. The young woman brushed back her hair into a high, tight pony tail, fixing herself up as she went. She had very light armor over her upper and lower arms. Her boots took care of her shins. And her trusty knives were strapped to her upper legs, her rod to her back. She was ready.

Mizu moved towards the gate, quickening her pace as she saw the others.

"Oh no, oh no, oh noo! I'm late? She leant towards them and landed springly besides a woman she did not know, "Did I make it on time?" O_O

A massive crowd was gathering and young Jimmy who was a PIE merchant thought it was the perfect opportunity to make some easy money.

"Attention all competitors, why fight monsters on an empty stomach!? When all of you will need your streght to participate in this hunt!!!! Get your pie supplies right here at Jimmy's Pie Heaven!!!! Only 1.99!!!!"

But then something ocurred to him, why not enter the quest as well? That way he could also sell pie potions along the way and make even more money, and perhaps he could even win the hunt.

"What the heck! I'll join as well!"

A very anxious Cairn was beginning to lose his patience. Having seen no signs of the host of this competition, he somehow wondered if all of this was some sort of joke, though a bit hard considering they were all summoned to this abandoned location far away from civilization. Cairn knew he was prepared, his sword lied tied and sheathed placed on his back due to its weight, his armor was already checked and reinforced with a few more metal sheaths located over vital points like chest, legs and arms. Cairn wanted to be here, to prove himself he could take the challenge. Standing before the giant twin gates that lead to the hunting grounds, Cairn slightly punched the palm of his left hand with his right fist and then tightened his gloves. Cold eyes set on the lock sealing the doors, the rays of the sun shining bright, reflected by a well polished armor. The wind blew softly, slightly lifting his cape as he awaited for the much awaited host of this tournament.

"That's it! When are we exactly starting this over?!"

Jimmy turned to the screaming dude...

"Hey man how about you relax you're making everyone nervous with that attitude!"

He started wondering to himself that participating on a hunt with such a group of weirdos and lunatics might have not been such a good idea, what if they all started attacking each other?

"(Might as well be take extra caution)"

Cairn suddenly stopped yelling, as a reaction to a comment made by a man who addressed to him. Slowly turning around, his eyes slightly open and with a serious look that obviously portrayed his annoyance, Cairn came face to face with the man who moments ago urged him relax. "Well kid, I am actually losing my patience and I might as well take down these two doors with my bare hands. Unless the oh-so-mysterious person hosting this competition decides to show up. In the meantime, how about selling me one of those pies?" Cairn's attitude was lightened by the pies he had seen, putting his spirit at ease knowing he would soon enjoy a good piece of pie.

Seeing in the man a potential costumer, Jimmy also calmed down.

"Ahh you are wise after all sir! It just so happens that one of this pies is enough to make you full for a week!!! And i'm sure a big warrior like you needs to be with a full stomach to give his best! But first...i need 3 gold coins, yes i know i said 1,99 a while ago but you see a man as to make a living and they're really good!!!"

Jimmy extended his hand waiting for the money.

Cairn brought his left hand to his chin and thought about the offer for a few seconds. After all, he was a little hungry and having a good pie before the contest might be a good idea. Agreeing, Cairn lowered his left hand and with it, he reached a small brown leather bag and pulled three golden coins from it. The coins were engraved with a cross on one side, and a shield with two crossed swords forming an "X" on the shield. Cairn extended his left hand and placed the coins on the merchant's hand, retrieving the pie in the process. "Thank you good sir. Ahh, nothing better than a good, warm, and sweat pie. What is the flavor of this one?" Cairn said while he enjoyed the fresh smell of the pie.

The smell of the pies made Hydra remember.
Right, I didn't even get to have breakfast... How did I plan to compete with these mighty opponents with an empty stomach? Well, whatever... let's eat something...

"Hey, you still got some of those pies?"

Hydra was getting even more hungry as he saw how one of the contestant, a knight, devoured one of the sweet pies. Hydra searched for his wallet, without luck.
Dang! I must have left my wallet at home... I REALLY shouldn't have overslept...
Hydra then remembered that he had a small pouch with coins, just in case something of this sort occurred. Making sure no one saw the pouch, Hydra took what he thought enough to have a decent breakfast: 5 golden coins.

"Well, you're gonna sell me some of those pies or not?"

The small woman fighter, Mizu, stood back against a tree. The delicous smell of pie wafted over to her, but thankfully, that wasn't her addiction, and she could go without. But she was hungry, having had to rush over her after thinking she was late, and had had no breakfast. And she was abit peeved that she had rushed for naught, since the host had dissappeared.

Mizu leaned back against the tree, and took out a few leaves from a pouch in her pants, and chewed on them. They would relieve her feeling of hunger for now. She would need to save her meager supply of gold for more important things.
