Introduction
Firstly if there's a guide already about this somewhere I'm sorry for remaking it but I couldn't find anything similar using search.
What is this all about?
The "Solo Vaan" Challenge is a style of playing Final Fantasy XII in which storyline-wise you only get as far as the Lord Consul's Parade. As soon as you've completed the Rogue Tomato hunt, you ignore the rest of the storyline completely and only focus on your one character: Vaan.
But... People already do this with Dustia Chaining
Dustia Chaining won't really get you anything other than a few cheap levels. The purpose of this is to limit yourself to what the game has to offer at this stage: few monsters and locations, hard to come by equipment, and more focussed training.
What's the aim?
To have every Loot, Key Item, Equip, Lisence, Ability, Trophy and Bestiary available at this point. The aim is not to get as many levels as possible before starting the game.

Items
This is purely for collection/Bazaar purpose. The list is done in order of how it appears when sorted in your inventories in-game*. I don't think I've missed anything, but if I have please tell me.
* If I don't already have the item I will simply add it to the end of the list for each category - as I don't know how it's sorted.
Key: Item - Easiest way to obtain.
Items
Loot
* Requires Monograph.
** Cannot hold both at once. Cannot obtain after creating Wyrmfire Shot.
Random Extra Bits
Try and steal Rat Pelt from the Dire Rats before beginning your adventure. This Loot is unobtainable once the three rats have been killed!
If you sell your Mithril Sword (Vaan's initial weapon), you won't be able to replace it this early in the game!
Before defeating Rogue Tomato, speak to the Desert Merchant in Rabanastre/Southern Plaza to receive a Loot named Small Package - this is nothing more than a collectible.
You can kill the Rabanastre Watch who appear in both Dalmasca Estersand/Yardang Labyrinth and Dalmasca Westersand/Galtea Downs and will sometimes gain a really small ammount of Gil. This will not add anything to your Bestiary.
The guard in Nalbina Town/West Barbican that is terrified of Chocobos isn't at all afraid this early in the story.
Don't bother trying to steal from Gnoma Entite until you have at least 1800 HP.
