Sparring Arena:

1.) Unless it is your battle, do not post in other people’s threads:
This section is specifically designed for mentors and their students to battle, without interference by other members. Interference will inhibit the ability of the mentors to help their charges, so it is not helpful for either you, the mentor, or the student when you post in another person’s thread.

2.) Do not spam or flame:
The mentors and members are here to help, and when you give them very little material to work with, they cannot do much to help you. Similarly, if you get mad or upset and begin to attack these members verbally, it will lower the chances that they will help you, both because it distracts them and it lessens their enthusiasm to help you. Ungrateful and insubordinate members are not high on the list of the liked.

3.) All large OOC posts must go in their corresponding Discussion Threads:
The Break Room is there for a reason: for players to speak out-of-character. OOC Posts, or posts in which you, the member, speaks outside of the context of the RP post, are alright if they are small, but anything exceeding four or five lines should go in a Discussion Thread. Things like tips for the student are acceptable, and a small question, but there is no reason for long paragraphs explaining actions. They inhibit the ability of the mentor to help the student, which contradicts the very reason for this forum’s existence.

It is recommended that you place parenthesis or brackets around your small OOC posts.

Examples:
[OOC: Good work on that post. Here's a tip though: you might want to put a little more detail into describing your character's actions.]

(OOC: Okay. I'll edit my post to include a little more detail.)
