an FF7 remake would take 10 times longer to make then the original?

Producer Yoshinori Kitase has said the title would be “ten times as long” to create compared to the original. “We’ve gotten this question a lot from many countries,” Kitase said at a recent launch event for Final Fantasy XIII in Korea.
“To make FFXIII at this level of quality, it took us 3 to 4 years. If we were to make FFVII in the same style of FFXIII, it would take 10 times as long, so it would be difficult to take it up immediately. However, we always keep in mind how often this is requested.”

i dont think he meant 10x longer as an accurate , i think he just meant a crapload of time
