Metal Gear Solid Thread

I have played both MGS2 and MGS3 and they are my favorite games of all time with 3 being my personal best.

The stealth element in 3 is far greater then 2 with the addition of the camouflages. Also the Boss is my favorite game character of all time, her mastery of CQC is amazing and the way Volgin backed away from her in fear in the Torture room is brilliant.

I am definitely a fan of Metal Gear Solid. I have played MGS, MGS2, and MGS3. Soon, I will play MGS: PO and since I have the Subsistence version of MGS3, I also have MG and MG2: SS. My favorite character is easy to know, he is in my sig. He is Big Boss.

I loved them all, except the AC!D ones. But MGS3 was hands down one of my most played games. Along with Resident Evil 4 and Final Fantasy IV.

I've never played Resident Evil 4, but I have heard it is a pretty awesome game. I should rent it, or at least borrow it from a friend. Not a very big fan of Resident Evil, well at least not bigger than MGS.

OK, Which MGS game is the best? Twin Snakes? Sons of Liberty? Snake Eater? Which one is your favorite. What makes this game your favorite/the best? What could have been made differently to make one better than the other.

My Favorite: Gotta go with MGS1.(this was a hard decesion)
Overall Best: I would have to say MGS2 on that one.

Why is MGS1 my favorite: I like the story for this game the best, also, it's where I started at. Psycho Mantis FTW.

Why do I say MGS2 is the best: This one to me, came off as the best one. Although I like the story for MGS1, this game just seems to have a better developed story. It gets more in depth with the politics, although the characters aren't as well developed as the ones from MGS3 IMO.

What would have made MGS1 and MGS3 better: Nothing. All three games are perfect just the way they are. (Like I said, this was an extremely hard decesion.)

Overall, I say Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, is where it's at.

i didnt like 2 that much and 3 was a mild improvement

I say MGS 3 because you see how it mainly started with big boss and ocelot.
I would then say MGS 1 because i just love the storyline of this one and who the characters are and their purpose.
I dont like MGS2 compared to the rest of them because it was more confusing and the fact that the colonel was AI/GW and you were talking to him throughout the game was a a bit stupid.

Yeah, definetly the first and last are the better ones, although the second is still amazing...it was the most beautiful game out at that moment, let down only by a confusing story which luckily I did follow.
But its main letdown was playing as Raiden, I wanted Snake! Suppose...made me all the more eager to play Metal Gear Solid 3, also because I loved the Cold War background to it.

Definitely the first Metal Gear Solid, though I haven't played Snake Eater, or some of the PSP games =/. The game was just better overall than the others. Though Metal Gear Solid for GameBoy Colour was pretty good. Anyone else play that?
