Haunted House.
Sign-up and discussion thread.
The autumnal equinox appears to have drawn the moon closer to the earth, glowing blood-red and bringing with it much mayhem. Has a Lunar Cry expulsed demons from the moon to earth? Have Lunarian terrorists seized the minds of earth’s most powerful, seeking to depopulate the planet of humans?
No! Our predicament is a much more local problem!
The members of FFF have successfully fought monsters here over the years. Some of you might remember slaying Barry the Behemoth, Terence the Tonberry, Carlos el Cactuar, and, most recently, Mortimer the Malboro! FFF had been safer thanks to your efforts… Until now!
The moon’s rays have illuminated the interior of a particular house; a mansion long forgotten by us in FFF. A place where threads go (both archived, and those little visited). The abandoned aspects of the forum, its memes and interests, are kept here. But the moon’s rays have turned on the lights and opened the doors again! What’s bad is that the ghosts of the four villainous monsters described above have fled to the mansion to hide. They intend to wait it out until Halloween, when they might regain their physical bodies once again and launch an attack on the forum!
Who out there is brave enough to explore the haunted house? Who wants to attempt to trap or kill a ghost? Who wants merely to enter for the thrill of it and live to tell the tale? We welcome volunteers!
The basic premise of the game (full rules will be posted when the game starts):
Players are locked in the Haunted House, and have to try and find the key to escape (or escape by some other means), kill/trap the ghosts, or survive until the game’s completion.
Each player starts in the main entrance hall of this map (click to enlarge):
Each turn a player may move once (choosing to move into a particular room, or in a particular direction), and can also carry out an action (either interacting with an object, or rolling for a particular action).
All doors are unlocked at the outset, and do not cost a turn to open (unless a ghost locks a door behind you!). Climbing stairs, however, do cost the ‘action’ part of a player’s turn.
All objects drawn on the map can be interacted with, if players wish. Perhaps a player might peek into a cupboard, or look inside a rubbish bin. Useful items might be found within, or perhaps a ghost! Be careful!
Interactions shall be drawn and updated on the map (with larger drawings showing particular moments of note).
When a player accidentally (or intentionally) comes into contact with a ghost then the ghost will attempt to kill the player. If the player has a ghost trap or lucky charm then a die roll (using random dice) shall determine whether the trap is effective on the ghost or not. If the player has not got any protection, the ghost might kill the player, or (if the roll is favourable) the player might manage a temporary escape.
Do you work alone, or do you help each other? How you play is entirely up to you.

Who do you play as?
This up to your tastes! This is an MS Paint game, so you may request your character’s appearance and name in this thread (or directly to Dionysos). Dionysos will work on drawing your character (based on your description) and will fit it into the game.
You may take this as seriously or nonsensically as you like. Say someone wants to look like Putin? Consider it done. Someone wants to be a humanoid were-rabbit with purple dreadlocks? It's a done thing. A woolly giraffe? Fine! We’ll call for the van another day.
RP players may even, if they choose, request that one of their original RP characters be used as their character for this game. Just describe the character (or use images to help, if you wish), and Dionysos will draw them in a style which shall fit with the rest of the drawings.
What isn’t allowed? Nudity and sexual content is a no. Want to be a group of nudists trapped in a haunted house? Tough. Your characters must be clothed. No giant floating penises with helicopter blades or wings attached to them neither...
For now, this is all Dionysos asks of you!

Who volunteers? Who do you want to be?
Suggest your character descriptions now, and when the competition begins you shall be placed in the haunted house.
If anyone is unsure about this game, you may also ask about it in this thread.
