why aren't there comments in here yet??? my god, you've got some really great stuff in here, yo. my favorite is this one;

it's colors are beautiful. and i love the effect in the background. the text is also sexy. it all reminds me of deus ex. which is never bad. only got one complaint... the border. but that's just me being a nitpicker

I like the more complimenting approach you're taking when it comes to colours, sometimes it's nice to have variety when it comes to colours in your pieces, but if you're worried about going overboard a simple "colour balance" layer can fix these worries very easily.

Do you use topaz AFTER you've applied text? It looks like you do, but I can't tell for sure. I do advise using topaz on your applied image without text, and then putting your text on top of your topaz layer (disregard this info if you already do this). Topaz has this irritating habit of making the text look... "greasy" sometimes.

Signatures like the above I really like, but I would be careful with your detail placement, because the circle in the top left is quite distracting, in my personal opinion. Again though, nice job on the colour combinations lately.

Thanks for the feedback Six, always appreciated. When I first started out with the topaz filters, I was forever erasing over my text because I was finding just that; it would make the text look "greasy" like you're saying. Then I copped on and just applied my text layer on top of my merged image. :lew:

However, I do apply my High Pass filter to the entire piece due to the fact that I want both text and image to look blended, if I don't the text looks like it's slapped on top since High Pass can give quite a bit of depth to a piece. Maybe that's what you're seeing? It might be that I'm over sharpening my GFX due to my less than amazing monitor resolution.

Also, totally agree on the Colour Blend adjustment, I love that tool a whole whole lot. Used it mostly for my digital paintings and hardly ever touched it for my design work up until a few months ago, when one of my signatures needed a major touch-up, which left me having to airbrush much of the render. Happy days.

As for the strange placement of graphic details, it's very true what you're saying and it's probably something most people would question. I like trying things out though, and for me, pulling apart a design or drawing odd paralels with other shapes and aspects of a piece is really fun. It's basically an idiosyncrasy that may not always work visually for others and I realise that it probably compromises the overall design integrity. :wacky:

I really enjoyed the focal point in this signature, even though Link is noticeably there, Epona stole the show. Nicely done with the text placement, considering it's a tricky render to work with.

I remember getting this one in my inbox and it instantly reminded me of Mitsuki's work. Great job on the lighting in this one. Enjoyed the text in this piece as well.

I voted for this one in SOTW mainly because of the text (lol, yes, yes, text is something I enjoy). You did a nice job, the whole piece blends together and it stood out most to me in that week. Very nice signature.
