Stealing in FFIX...

...is such a pain in the ass. Zidane has tranced twice in this battle with Ark while trying to steal all of the items.

Increase your spirit woman! And equip that ability that increases steal success rate! (Bandit? And Master Thief too, I think?)

Still, I completely agree. Hilgigars was the worst for me

I did have bandit on but I don't have master thief yet. I finally got the stupid Holy Lance. Steiner was probably just a hit or two away from his second trance.

lmao it's so hard not to use the trances too when you have them. I'd be so pee'd off with steal if it didn't reward you really well for your patience .

To be fair it's the only ff game that I really used steal on a regular basis so I'm glad stealing wasn't too easy. It made boss battles more challenging as usually your strongest character wasn't dishing out damage until he'd stolen the goods.

I'm okay with it being somewhat challenging but it tends to border on ridiculous in some boss fights.

i very rarely bother stealing, i just don't see the point
