{JR: Boy what a show we have this race! Approximately 200 have died from the start! Bets are falling through, bounties are being made, gangs are forming and nobody's safe anymore! This Supersonic race has gotten ugly indeed. Back and the starting line a large group of prisoners have already been released into the race. Now that everyone's been on the track for a while it seems things are finally getting interesting. Assassins have been deployed and a whopping 7 of them have already been taken out by token racers Willimina, Jarey, Weisly, Helvetica, Uni, Garrison, Mirios, Duvaut, Manny and Kolraine. Sadly for these members though large bounties have been put on their heads by the most elite who have a lot riding on these racer's deaths, nearly a fortune! Black crows seem to be focusing on getting to the finish line this race. it seems more than half of them have made it far far up in the racing ranks! With so many interesting partnerships, betrayals and gang fights the prime action events are only just beginning! Keep it here with me JR as we report on everything you love about Supersonic! And don't forget to cast your vote for your favorite racers at <SSaircast nets.net/racers/popularitypoll> ! [ENTRY: 05]}

Sonics

Sonics work with the possessor of the gadgets. These devices only operate on specialized race tracks set up by the Supersonic Company's mobile branch. The tracks possess two types of magnetic fields. One, which allows activation of Sonic products, and attracts wheeled Sonic mobile devices onto it's track, the other which sits above the first and is known as the main "Magnetic Field" in which hover devices can ride.

To go , one simply has to slightly shift their body weight in any direction. After doing so the mini motors will propel the vehicle in that direction. To stop users need only to lean on their heels for a small period of time.

Cycles require gas pedals and manual steering to maneuver.

Models

  • Sonics(Skates) - They fit slimmingly in shoe or boot sizes. These offer the best reaction time for obstacles and enemy attacks. They come in two customizable sizes.
    1. Sonic 4 wheel - Can be customized with A class only mods. Up to 3 mods.
    2. Sonic 2 wheel - Can be customized with A & B class only mods. Up to 2 mods.
  • Sonic Board - Sonic Boards have the most flexible amount of control on a track when it comes to maneuverability. They come in 3 types.
    1. Grounded with wheels Board - Cannot hover in magnetic fields but can be customized with A & B class only mods. For old school handlers. Up to 3 mods.
    2. Magnetic Field Board - Exclusively able to hover in magnetic fields but cannot adhere to track loops. Experienced handlers only. Can be customized with C class only mods. Up to 4 mods.
    3. Versatile Board - Able to hover in magnetic fields with a setting to extract wheels if need be. Can be customized with A, B, & C class only mods. Up to 2 mods.
  • Sonic Cycle - These speedy bikes require precise piloting in exchange for power. Ideal for speed as they are the fastest vehicles on the track. They come in four different models.
    1. Old-School Wheeled - Can be customized with A & B class only. Up to 3 mods.
    2. Magnetic field - Exclusively able to hover in magnetic fields but cannot adhere to track loops without going max speed. Can be customized with C class only. Up to 3 mods
    3. Sonic Scooter - Slower than most, the hover/wheeled vehicle combo makes the scooter a popular choice for beginners. Can be customized with B & C class only. Up to 3 mods.
    4. Armored Shell - An armored vehicle similar to a slim car with a thin plate shield casing around it. It cannot be hit by projectiles and renders most obstacles useless. Can be customized with A, B, & C class only. Up to 1 mod.
  • Sonic Mechas - A standard mecha for use in special matches only. Each mecha racer is the exact same build and model and require Z class specs. Up to 2 mods.

Origin - In 2095 Chen Sato, the head of the Supersonic Company of Technological Advancement, took advantage of the global depression after WWIII. Through loans, grants and big buys the company was able to reform and rebuild the world, uniting all nations through debt. Half a century later through much reform, a product branded as Sonics launched from the company in Japan as an entertainment mobility. Marketed by Amani Sato, the young daughter of the Sato family, the motorized shoes quickly caught on in trends among young people, becoming infamous for use in stunts widely access around the web. The trend eventually took off

2110 Sonics over the course of time have branched out. It's popularity has grown with time, as well as it's uses in gangs, sporting events, reality shows, and daily life. The Supersonics company's newly created line of mobile devices catch on and they add a few more products. One product very popular to this day has become the new take on the skateboard. The Sonic board, restricted to use in certain skate parks only, did not take long to catch on and took the world by storm.

With the Sato company influence, and the recent Oblivion disaster, criminals begin to misuse Sonic products and a worldwide crisis of criminal activity ensues. The SS company quickly organizes a way to rid this problem over the next few decades, strengthening networks and creating special roadways where only recent SS products can work, with speeds set to limitations, rendering older SS models prior to 2143 useless on most newly networked/paved roads. During this process a racing tournament was created, promising 10 winners any wish they granted.

The first SS worldwide tournament occurs in 2145 and thousands upon thousands participate. With only the provided supersonic equipment for use, including Sonics, Sonic Boards, and Sonic vehicles, participants raced alongside each other on special magnetized racetracks. First priority was given to prisoners looking to overturn sentences, including death row. A record of 15,000 deaths occurred, both innocent and guilty, and the SS tournament quickly became highly rated on all television networks. The program, created by Dalton Sato, creates celebrities out of it's winners and the tournaments since become vastly popular all throughout the world. It not only cleans out criminals but has also become a worldwide sensation. The show's spotlight characters and advertising of Sonic product leaves the world completely in the hands of the Supersonic Company.

Racers

Humans are the most common racers in the Supersonic raceway. Their lighter weight, reflexes and vast potential make them an ideal contender for the races. They are the most numerous of all, yet they rarely make it towards the end of the race.

Implanted Humans have limited artificial enhancements. Though they often only have cybernetic limbs to compensate for the ones they lost, most consider them human. However many have custom implants which enable them to perform certain tasks humans cannot perform. For this reason Fully organic humans tend to separate these type of peoples from their own identity. Many humans who get far in he race tend to get implants halfway through.

Transhuman racers prefer to separate themselves from the human race completely. They often have heavy artificial enhancements done on their bodies enabling them to run jump and punch much harder than the average human. Many Transhumans opt for full prosthetic bodies by removing their brain, along with their consciousness to an artificial body which, despite it's heavy weight, enables them constant access to the web. This race is looked down upon by many religious groups and the like.

Oblivion Victims are a rarity. As a result of the toxic chemicals of the worldwide Oblivion gas virus caused by terrorists many humans who were slightly infected either died or went through a form of genetic mutation caused by the gasses. This mutation often gave these humans extra limbs and oddly colored skin and anonymous growths and bones in odd places on their bodies. However to the rare survivors the Oblivion virus also gave the affected an odd telekinesis-like power to move and manipulate objects from further away. This race of people tend to be looked down upon the most and often try to blend in with society as much as they can. Most call them beasts or vermin out of fear.

Gangs often enter the race as a group to gain selfless fortune and power for themselves. They usually are in groups of ten and aim to reach the finish line. The most notorious gangs are the Red Scarves who have won the race twice. Most gangs are violent, some are mostly in for the thrill of senseless violence, other gangs simply wish to win. Gangs are mostly useful in races to their own members and many gangs and groups are formed within the first race.

Prisoners enter the race to rid themselves of sentences. Many of these tend to be self proclaimed "falsely imprisoned" Oblivion victims. Prisoners can be very deceitful and tricky. Nearly all of them will do whatever it takes to win. Prisoners are often the majority of Supersonic participants.

Others usually consist of celebrities participating in the race at the request of their fans. Many can be poor families who wish to win a fortune for their families. There are many different types of people who want a chance to get any wish granted.

Rules
#1: All entering must be of 18 years or older. Any yoounger ones may not be permitted.
#2: We cannot guarantee safety of life, by registering racers are committing to the race full time. Backing of the the race would require speaking with the organizer(just PM me).
#3: No more than 2 characters may register at a time.
#4: By registering for this race you are agreeing to abide by the section rules and the overall RPC rules.
#5: Have fun!

Obstacles

Obstacles may pop up every few times on a racetrack. They are chosen randomly by participant vote and are placed on the track within the race after votes are tallied. An obstacle can range from automated droids to trap zones. Anti Obstacles are objects that can help heal injuries or repair broken synthetic parts.

Traps - Traps are voted on at the beginning of the race(PM me) with your selection. Traps are not revealed until they are activated unexpectedly some time within the race.

black-black-and-white-black-smoke-peste-negra-smoke-Favim.com-69487.jpg
Smoke Screen - The track exudes a pitch black smoke screen that make s it completely impossible to navigate. Smoke lasts until it dissipates.

black-smoke-440366.jpeg
Toxigen - A vile green gas that is leaked into the air. It causes severe coughing fits to any who do not have artificial bodies.

Fast.gif
Rocket Track - The magnetization becomes stronger upon the racetrack, thrusting the speed boost to double what it was. This effect lasts until the race finishes.

img_606X341_space-earth-magnetic-shield-241012.jpg
Demagnetization moment - Completely shuts off all magnetization on the track for a period of 2 hours before magnetization resumes. Players will have to either walk on foot, or manually maneuver their sonics.

oil.jpg
Oil Slick - The oldest trick in the book. Track spurts out oil slick puddles that remain until the race in over. If ridden in, sonics will loose complete control of their paths and will most likely result in a crash or a path leading to more oil slick puddles.

20080321033750!Explosion.jpg
Self Destruct - The racetrack self destructs. The supports holding the racetrack up will begin to explode one by one beginning from the beginning of the racetrack and on. Slow racers will fall with the track and either get injured or die.

Droids Droids are the main obstacles in the races. Assassin droids can be hired to kill other racers by putting a name on their hit list via vote(PM).

robot_alien_by_moneitor.jpg
Seekers - These droids travel in swarms. They are released after all participants leave the starting line and hunt after any straying racers in last place. Any racers in last place will meet these droids at some point.

359197_1327647270_large.jpg
Hunters - Hunters are much harder to kill that seekers. These droids seek out players who are in the lead of the race specifically. They attack any racer nearby and refuse to take sides. They even go after each other in fights. The best way to avoid them is to steer clear of their paths. That's not to say that they will not run after racers!

sideways-robot.jpg
Assassins - These hunt out players according to those who are on a hit list voted on before the race(PM me). They will actively hunt down and kill their targets. If their targets evade them they will actively seek out the targets relentlessly. The only way to get rid of an assassin is to destroy it. Destroying an assassin is rare and most choose to outrun them instead. If it's target passes the finish line, assassin droids will cease to seek them out.

{JR: And they're finally off folks! After the large disaster at the opening ceremony where over 100 were killed and hundreds were demoted to prisoner rank the race has finally begun! So far we've tallied in the total racers at 2000. It looks like that number is well off. Now, let me direct you all to a tactical racer who knows how to take advantage of the race. In sheer competitiveness Levont Kaiser has managed to slow down the competition with his invented heavy weapon. It seems like he's started a chain reaction as well. Dozens of racers have fallen, causing the ones behind them to trip and fall. Even worse, some have chosen to begin fighting right here at the starting line, while others race on ahead. It seems like this will be a most exciting race this year! As you can probably spy from our Chopper cam civilians have already bee run over by fellow competitors. Well done Levont Kaiser for creating such a clever diversion! Keep it up and it may be you who gets my spotlight interview at the end of this race!}

[ENTRY 03]
{JR: Racers this year have reacted negatively towards the big reveal at the Supersonic brunch. The nano tracker, one of Sato company's latest designs, have been implemented to track all racers who use unfair gain to get ahead. Normally the race has been without strict limits! It looks like Olivia think's the tournament should be won fair and square huh? If you recall the last few races have been won by members of notorious street gangs and the worst of the worst prisoners. No doubt some contenders have already been eliminated. As you all know, anything goes until the race begins! This may be the only time in the world where crime is legal, because, as you all know, if you commit a crime, then you're automatically entered into the race anyways?! However I personally don't feel it's worth wasting the prize wish on if one does win the race after becoming a criminal. Anyways, this has been JR signing out of SSAircast! You can catch videos of the Sato Ceremonial Hall coverage up at ssaircastnewsfeed/JR/2153.net!}

[ENTRY 02]
{JR: It's that time of the year again! Where prisoners, gangs, celebrities and other hopeful participants come together to race in the Supersonic Tournament! Signups are closing fast and this reporter is estimating at least 15,000. All you fans out there know what I'm talking about! The more racers, the bigger and the better things get out on the racetracks. So far, track construction looks nearly complete! Olivia Sato, heiress to the Sato corporate empire has offered her apologies to those who will not be going to work at all for the next month. Ah well, that lovely lady sure is a charmer, much like her mother. Oh the late Ariana Sato would be so proud no doubt! Anyways back to the latest scoop! I'm here in Sydney, where the crowds just don't seem to stop pouring in from all over! And it looks like a large Array of Red scarves, who have dominated the race with their gang for the past two years will be returning in full stride! Ah well, this reporter is going to have to get out her red dress for the upcoming brunch event! I hope you're all ready. It is said the lovely Olivia Sato will be making an appearance herself! Until next time, this is JR with SSWorld Aircast News!}

Everyone knows the games are beginning soon and people from around the world cant wait to see their countries represented!}
