Ok, this series is gonna be a short one, but I hope you enjoy it all the same! It has been in development for quite a while, building a fan base before it was even released. Now it's finally for sale, for both PS3 and Vita!

Sound Shape is a very indie music-platformer, where you're a blob travelling through each level (sorta super mario-style, I guess). As you travel through the levels, a song will form towards the end, making each level very unique and interesting.
This game is made by Queasy Games, along with some other famous indie video game artists and music makers ;)

Well...it's quite hard to explain what the game is like without seeing it, so here's the tutorial along with the 1st level. Enjoy! :)

This video has the 1st proper level, which is basic but has a great track once it's built up at the end. Short but sweet :) . This is also the start of the "Hello, World" album.

The plan for the rest of this series is to have an album per day, so here comes the rest of "Hello, World". This series will be finished in 4 or 5 days, depending on if I upload on my birthday :grin:

Personnel just sorta introduces us to the elements that can be found in this album, ready for things to get a little bit more involved as we go along. The graphics really remind me of the old NES games...

I know I shouldn't laugh at some of those tough spots where you die a bunch in a row, because I couldn't do any better, but.....:edd: it's hilarious with the deadings.

lol you should have heard how much I raged after just diving right into each death in the exact same place :p . Glad you like them mr pockets.

I did notice you requesting Papo & Yo by the way...I was just too lazy to reply lmao. I would love to make it...but I have a different series in mind for now which will take a while. There would probably be commentary for it mind, 'cause it gets a bit repetitive after you get used to the type of effects you'll see :) Pockets
 
[DLC] - Car Tutorial

Wow, this is going back a bit! Well, lately a new album was added to Sound Shapes in the form of DLC, so there will be 3 new episodes added over the next 3 days (including this one).

Car Tutorial does exactly what it says on the tin: it's a tutorial based on the new car mechanics.

This new album is called "Do You Wheelie Want To Hurt Me" and was made by Queasy Games (not me!).
 
[DLC] - Hard Drive

Ok folks, time to carry on with the DLC! Hard Drive has a sort of disco music feel to it, with the beats and all that. The main aim of this level is to speed through sonic-style, so it doesn't last too long. I quite like using the bike...it's a nice change :)

Hey there peoples, it's time to check out the last episode of Sound Shapes! Heck On Wheels is all about the rock music! Riding on a giant skull-shaped bike with that music in the background is pretty amazing.

What did you guys think of this extra album? I don't quite like it as much as the last album, but it beats some of the others. I'm not too sure about it overall.

Thanks for watching this series! This is probably gonna be the last episode of Sound Shapes, but...maybe there'll be another new album sometime down the line. Who can say? ;)
