This X prequel will take place even further into the past, mostly in Zanarkand, around the times of Shuyin and Lenne.

It'll have politics, war, Vegnagun, blitzball... the works. It's yet another story I developed a while ago that didn't get anywhere.

I'd definitely be interested. Shuyin and Lenne's story was my favorite part about FFX-2 (or even the whole story of Spira).
 
Shuyin and Lenne will definitely be in it, sure. Their roles probably won't be as significant until Vegnagun is in the picture, though.
 
That's okay. What other roles are there for this one? Yu Yevon, Yunalesca, Zaon, etc?
 
How I have it set up, Yu hasn't taken the "Zanarkand throne" quite yet, so I want to throw in his rise to power. One character I'm throwing in is his father, whom, in this story, is a significant figure throughout most of his life.

So, there will be time skips because of Yu's story alone, simply due to the fact that I want to end the story eventually. Haha.

Very cool concept. I like that. There are very few works of fanfiction or roleplaying that even touches the notion of Yu Yevon's life. It's fascinating that such an important character to the story is so easily forgotten. Probably because of the whole tick boss fight thing. lol.

But let me know if you go through with it. I like the concept and would love to be a part of it. I hope we get more people for it.
 
Sorry for the delay with this one. Work has been crazy hectic this week, and I'm hoping I can get something up by this weekend now.

As far as some more info:

  • There will be plenty of summons available for those who wish to be a summoner. (There will be limited slots, though.)
  • There will be airships galore.
  • A nice chunk of the story will take place in Bevelle as well.
  • Vegnagun's production will be followed, from its creation, up until Shuyin discovers it (most likely).
  • Blitzball will be huge, and hopefully fun.
  • Zanarkand will initially be run by a council.
