Well I started playing when I was 6 years old, With FF IV (It was FF II at the time in the US on the SNES) And instantly couldn't put it down (even skipped school to play it... SHHH Don't tell my Dad!) Then I got FF VI (III in the US) and again loved it! basically played these two games constantly, then I heard of FFVII... then I went...wait... WHERE IS IV V AND VI!!! and then I finally got interested in finding it out..and found out Japan was being mean and not giving us all the games! (those bastards!!!!)
But yeah I got all the FF main series, and a bunch of the sequel, prequel and other FF games (tactics)

My brother introduced me to Final Fantasy VII whenever it was first released in Ireland (I think 1997 -- so when I was 10 years old). I had enjoyed watching Dragonball-Z while in Hong Kong so my brother told me that he was playing a game that had a main character who had spikey hair like Goku. I decided to play it and fell it love with it. I also love the music in the games. It's truely art.

My older brothers always had the games and I would watch them play. When I was older I started to play all their games and really liked the FF series. So I continued to buy the games after they pretty much stopped playing video games. Yeah mine is not that exciting. XD

I'd always heard about Final Fantasy but never played one. It wasn't until I got a PS2 and watched some trailers that I finally got XII. Thoroughly enjoyed it

During the summer of 2011 I went out one day to buy a new pair of sneakers. After buying them, I saw that they were 20 dollars cheaper than expected. So now a dude in the summer with 20 dollars, I went to Gamestop.
After looking for a very long time for something to buy I finally saw something that caught my attention. The original Kingdom Hearts for PS2. I decided to buy it after waiting 10 years to play it.
After a few days of playing, me and my Lil Broski got to the Olympus coliseum, where we saw some guy called "Cloud". Out of curiosity I decided to look him up, where I discovered he was a character from FFVII.
After finishing Kingdom Hearts, I decided to get FFIX & FFX. That's how I was introduced to FF. After saying my whole life that I would never play one of these, because I thought they would suck, I gave in.
That's a decision I do not regret.

One of my friends at school was really into it and would constantly talk about FF7 all the time so I decided to give it a go to see wtf she was talking about. I ended up getting hooked and then played the rest of them.

In 1992 I was first introduced to FFIV. I was 8, so I didn't actually play--I watched my brother play through the entire game. Before long I was playing IV and VI on my own. I honestly think that playing RPGs at a young age helped me learn to read better. I mean, how many 2nd graders know what a paladin is!?

I love to hear that! I know so many gamers who REFUSE to play FFs for one reason for another, but when they finally sit down and try it, they become a fan. Glad you're on our side now

The first FF game I played was, weirdly enough, FF X-2. I played it for 1 hour, didn't know where the hell the story was going then picked up X. After that I went back and played 5,7,8,9. Fell in love with the series and it eventually became one of my favorite franchises. Currently playing through 6. Absolutely loving it!

I played FFI when I was about eight, FFVII and FFVIII when I was thirteen, FFIX when I was fourteen, and all the ones in between when I was fifteen and sixteen, as well as FFX and X-2. When I was nineteen, I played FFXII, and about a few months ago, I finished playing through XIII and XIII-2 consecutively.
That's my whole FF playing history
I'm a bonafide Final Fantasy sage
And it all began, believe it or not, on my grandparents NES. Yes, you read it right

Final Fantasy VII. I never really knew that title until I saw it on the box of my PS1. Then my cousin bought both Tactics and VII. I originally thought that it was a royal rumble style battle only to discover that it was an RPG game (which was a new genre to my ears). And since then, I fell in love with RPG games.
I even got better in english. LOL
