Funnily I've been playing the Kingdom Hearts series again oblivious to the fact that it's the 10th anniversary. I recently bought a DS for the first time so I can now finally play 'Chain of Memories' and that '358/2' Days titles.

I started with Birth By Sleep, which I think really pushes the PSP to it's limits graphically. It was a fun experience while some of the plot twists were certainly interesting I was just expecting it to tell me more.

As for the original which I just completed a few days ago, still the groundbreaking action/RPG I remember. The world are really fleshes out and the conflict between Sora and Riku is brilliant. One thing which did bother me was the jump mechanic, but you get a skill later on which solves that. I wonder if Kingdom Hearts 1 holds up on it's own, when you think on how the other titles in the series expand the story, KH's story is very brief in comparison.

I'm currently playing Chain of Memories up to the 9th area. So far I have been really enjoying it. Once again the series pushes the boundaries of it's console. I thought the 2D presentation would be a huge set back, but this game works really, really well. The story is also very deep and intruiging I look forward to playing it some more later on tonight.

I think overall the series can be a success. I for one usually despise cross-in stories, but Kingdom Hearts has managed to make it work (Even If I still feel no need for the FF characters, KH and Disney characters mix very well together.) I think now though they really need to release Kingdom Hearts III. Though of course due to the 3DS another console jump I will have to find a way to play it before hand.

Is Kingdom Hearts 10 years old already ? No.... I don't believe you.... man time has gone by really fast, too fast.

The best moment I had with the Kingdom Hearts series was in KH 1 and fighting Riku for the second time in Hollow Bastion. Just finding out that Kairi was with Sora all along and that Riku was just a puppet of his own jealously and fears.

This is the part when the game just bangs you on the head with a bunch of plotwists that makes you hungry for more. And the fight between Sora and AnsemRiku is just so fast-paced, heartpuming and really exciting. It's hard and it keeps you on your toes. You have to think and act fast or else AnsemRiku will absolutely cream you.

My 2nd part would have to be from KH2 where Riku and Sora battle Xenmas together and then they both sit on the beach and just chat how they really do care for each other as friends. It's a simple scene, yet so deep and powerful.

I hope that Kingdom Hearts 3 is on it's way soon.

I remember when it was first announced how I thought it was a stupid idea. But then I decided to give it a chance and I was blown away. Kingdom Hearts 2, to this date, I feel has one of the most epic and cinematic final bosses I've ever fought
