FF14 Insight?

So I started looking on google for a new RPG type of game because im getting tired of black ops and came across FF14online... I was trying to get some inside scoop on FF14 since i have never in my life played a FF game =( lol. Dont wanna buy something and then get turned off lol. Im looking for ah RPG that is full of quest and adventures, alot of customizing and advancing characters, and nice graphics. Kind of like World of Warcraft, but im really digging the final fantasy look way more =).
Im playing off ps3... so yea man, Hook me up with some good info

Final Fantasy XIV for PS3 isn't out yet, and won't be out till the end of next year or later. The PC version is out right now. They've made some improvements to the game, but as of right now I would steer clear of it. Give it a bit more time to get up to par with other MMOs.

If you want a good RPG for PS3, think Skyrim or you could try Final Fantasy XIII if you were so inclined. I think it is the worst Final Fantasy game, but that doesn't necessarily make it bad.

Sorry, haven't checked this spot in a while.

I'd give FFXIV a little more time to mature before jumping into it. If you already play, there are reasons to stick around until version 2.0 launches. If not, and especially since you are on PS3, wait until version 2.0 hits.

As for alternate FF game to play. I'd go back and play FF XII if you get the chance, PS2 title sure, but it packs much of the online elements that FF XI contained. It also keeps a more traditional Fantasy setting as opposed to a more High-Fantasy a la FF XIII. Don't get me wrong, I love XIII. I just don't think it will contain the customization you are looking for. FF games vary greatly by title. Fans know to expect this, but it also creates a bit of a love/hate with their character growth systems.
