I believe it.
I meet people who started at 7 and 10 and didn't even know there was a 9, 8, 6, 5 etc that existed. And when brought up, they don't want to play 'cause its "ugly".
I always loved my Onion Knight, since the first game. Such creative graphics :3
Its happening for a lot of characters. Love has sprouted out of no where for FF6, Terra, Buntz and FF5. Its just how it happens, it seems.
At least they are loving the characters/game now, right?![]()

I believe it too. Alot of FF fans I know who have started with FFX, call it Final Fantasy X- as in the letter X. So they're usually surprised when they find out that, that X means - 10, and there's nine games that came out before it.
I've noticed a huge amount of Terra popularity, though it's usually the Dissidia form and not the FF6 style.Though I still feel that FF VII AC, FFX, Kingdom Hearts, and FF XIII still get the most attention from the new generation of FF fans.

Actually I know some FF fans that started to play FF 6 below even before dissidia came. According to me... the most played FF games from 1-6 are FF 1, FF IV, FF V and FF VI. I think Final Fantasy was already popular even before seven. Although most people did start with FF IV, FF VII, FF X and FF XIII (for today's generation). FF XIII Versus will probably be most played too.![]()
