      Stephen Hownam
      Gizamaluke's Grotto

Stephen stood panting heavily, in front of him stood a Lamia, Dagger in hand and a glare on it's face, behind Stephen was a buremacian knight, clutching his chest, the man was bleeding, because of the Lamia, it had caught him off guard and taken to killing him, something that Stephen had prevented and so had become the Target of the Lamia.

Stephen smirked as his foe charged and he unleashed a Fira spell directly into the Lamia, causing it to screech in pain and unleash a heavy Arcing slash at Stephen that he ducked under and moved closer to the Beast, unleashing a combo of three punches, finishing with an uppercut the Lamia fell to the floor, withered and died.

Stephen then turned and bolted over to the Knight "Can you Stand?" he asked "not on my own" the knight replied then i shall help you" Stephen announced as he helped the knight to his feet and Carried the man towards the Exit of the Grotto, "thank you kind monk, i was unaware your kind were allowed to use magic" the Knight asked Stephen "Well im no a monk, Im a mage" Stephen informed him "i was just taught to throw punches by the monks, they didn't like my abilities" Stephen explained as the reached the Exit "the journey over the plain shall be a long one kind sir" the knight announced to which Stephen smiled "I have time" Stephen explained before kicking the door open and heading out.

Stephen carried the man across the plain for an hour, that seemed longer, before the knight required to rest. Sitting the knight on a rock Stephen crouched next to the man "I shall take you to your people, there you can get medical treatment, if you have a family, think about them to keep yourself strong, and Drink this potion, it will help with your wounds." Stephen informed the knight handing him a potion that the knight then gulped down rapidly.

"thank you sir, you are a good man, many would have left me to the Lamia" the knight said "well, I'm searching for Redemption" Stephen informed the man

Lan Ester: Black Mage Village Outskirts/ edge of forest

"Well firstly, you may not call me Ri." "and my reasons aren't anything special... I've been couped up in that tiny Village, being told the tales of great adventurers only to be denied adventuring myself... "

Lan nodded as he heard the reason and ignored the don't message. The reason was valid enough and he could only sympathize with the man himself.

"How far is Oeilvert from here? On the map, how far does it show the place from here?"

Lan's reply was a simple one.

"It's far from where we are and unless we have access to an airship, impossible to access by foot or ship." Lan muttered thinking about the rumors that surrounded the Kingdom of Oeilvert.

"I'm going to make a name for myself, Lan. We're going to help stop the upcoming war!"

Lan gritted his teeth as he heard what Ri said. Help stop the war? Lan was surprised at how naive that statement was.

"Stopping the war eh? Not the best idea. Let me ask you one thing. Have you killed another living and speaking being
? Stopping the war won't done unless we can stop it with either talking or killing the enemies' ranks. It is not something that is taken lightly. Besides, the armies on both side are thinking the same thing for themselves." Lan muttered as the sea came into view. Taking a deep sniff, Lan opened the map and laid it on the ground plotting the next destination, Fossil Roo.

      Rior Laistan
      Black Mage Village - Outskirts

The little boy before him had no right to deny him of his new goal. This was going to be his journey and he would continue it, with or without Lan and his map.

Obviously Oeilvert was out of the question for now, they didn't have an airship... they didn't really have anything but their two feet, the poor feet would have to take them miles before they reached anywhere of any importance.

Rior remained silent for a while, mulling over what to do, when the two genomes finally reached the sea. He lifted his head which was previously tilted towards the ground and took in the sight. It was amazing, the water was sparkling, it smelt salty, the sand was soft. He smiled, he'd never felt so good in his entire life. He then turned to Lan, an expression of confidence on his face.

"You don't have to agree with my reasons, you don't have to like it and you don't have to come with me, but I am going to do something with my life...I've spent far too long...eighteen years exactly, doing nothing, absolutely nothing. I've heard the Tales of Zidane Tribal, he started as nothing...well...he was born for something, but he didn't know that.."
Rior paused before taking a few steps towards the ocean.

"I could be born for something too...and just not know it. But what I do know is I am going to prove myself by helping out in this war. People pledge themselves to the guard all the time, I'll just cut the line and meet with them in the battle field. Now, since Oeilvert is out of the question, how's about Clerya? Can we get there?"

He began to walk again, now in the direction of Fossil Roo. Lan had pointed out the location earlier. His spirits were lifted. His tail was raised and wagged happily and he had an incredible air of self confidence about him. He'd deluded himself into thinking that going to join the army was the best thing to do and nothing was going to stop him.

"Well hurry along then." He called to the boy "If you're coming with me you'd better pick up your pace... and hurry up and tell me the location of Clerya, we don't have all day!" His voice was light hearted.

His name is King and he has a Horse.

Lan Ester: Enroute to Fossil Roo.

Lan shrugged as he picked the map up and started to follow Rior. Then a thought hit him.

"Why Clerya?" Lan asked while quickly plotting out the quickest path to Clerya. After a quick look on the map and a refresher on how Zidane and his group got to the area they were now gave Lan his plan. Walking up beside Rior, Lan showed the map to him and gave him the general direction while pointing out key locations.

"Ok. We go into Fossil Roo. From what the tales of Zidane states, it should lead us into the middle of the Mist Contientant. Inside a marsh called Qu's Marsh. After that, we should head north from Qu's Marsh until we hit
Gizamaluke's Grotto. We go through there and Clerya should be walking distance from there. But before we get to Clerya, we should restock at Burmieca and also in Fossil Roo. Better safe then sorry in any case." Lan said folding up the map.

As Annelise went ahead to look on the starboard side of the ship. She heard Alleria say something.

"Annelise! Daughter of THE Steiner and Beatrix?!"

The Knight turned around, looking at the Purple-Haired Ipsen Knight. She seemed to be in a happy mood, and what she said next was the reason.

"You can't refuse me! I must challenge you... After this mission though."

For Annelise, who was the child of two of some of the greatest knights in the history of Alexandria, being challenged to a duel was something of a frequent occurrence to her. Although she is confident in her own abilities, she was often determined to do her best, to try to win. However, they were professional, and the mission must come first.

"Oh, you so gotta take her on, Anne. Show her the power that made your parents great!"

Ignoring Jeanne, Anne said, "I accept your challenge, but once we are finished with our mission."

      "
      You better stay alive!"

Anne took that last sentence into consideration. She couldn't afford to die, not with a challenge to be upheld. "And the same to you, Alleria..." Anne turned around and walked over to the starboard side.

After the Queen left the Airship to head back to the castle, The Steam-Powered Engine roared to life, as the Enterprise slowly moved sailed off from Alexandria Harbor. The propellers began to spin, and as it rotated faster and faster, the Ship slowly lifted itself off the water, and took off into the sky. The Enterprise made a complete 180, headed in the direction of Alexandria, and after 5 minutes would've passed through Alexandria City itself. It was now on course to Cleyra.

Annelise took position next to the Enterprise's starboard cannon as they flew over the Alexandrian Plains, looking down over the Evil Forest.

As she was looking down, she heard another individual speak.

"Good to see you again Annelise. How have you been?"

Annelise turned around and saw her old friend Robert standing by her, his father's spear leaning on his shoulder. Moving her hair aside, Anne smiled "Sir Robert! I've been alright since we've last met." The last time the two met, both of them were apprentice knights, the children of powerful and heroic figures. "I've improved since last we met, how about you?"

Anne looked over at General Gisale, who was on deck, her arms folded, she stood still, as if she was meditating on the situation. Although Beatrix taught Anne everything she knew, it was Gisale, her teacher at the Academy, who taught her other matters important to the knights, as well as a little swordsmanship of her own. Even though Anne still had much to learn, she knew that Gisale was probably one of the best. An idol to many, even to herself, alongside Anne's mother and father at least.

      Alleria Stormseeker

And as far as Alleria was concerned, the ride became relatively low key after the challenge issued to Annelise. Both of them were far too professional to openly duel on the deck, much to Alleria's dismay. She had a reputation to upkeep, while Annelise's motivations were unknown - but a disappointment to the girl.

Even though she never would have expected the child of legends to be that cocky, she was expecting her to be hot-headed enough to take her on. After all, wasn't that how the typical high fantasy story went? Or so Alleria thought anyway, grimly realizing that reality is stranger than fiction.

With her bold claim from earlier, many of the Knights were already shunning her, and giving her looks - some curious, some disgusted, and some amused. They didn't bother Alleria much, but it didn't help to be avoided by all of them.

Then she realized that she still had to report to General Gisale.

Annelise was now speaking to a Burmercian Knight, who in turn, looked strangely familiar. Dismissing her recognition as common - being unable to differentiate between one Burmercian and another - she continued on towards the General.

The General herself was just as famous - and also another challenge that Alleria intends to overcome. Though, with her lack of reputation, and the lack of confirmation of her skills, Alleria didn't want to risk sparring with her. As much as she refused to admit, General Gisale's reputation scared her.

"Greetings, General Gisale. This one greets you with utmost respect."

Placing her right hand on her chest, over where her heart would be, she bowed slightly.

[OOC: 'This one' refers to Alleria. She's referring to herself in third person. I'm attempting to create a different culture for the Genomes of Ipsen.]

      Amarant Coral
      Oeilvert

The sly eagle doesn't kill at whim.

Of course thoughts of him would come flooding back to him right now, of all times. Seventeen long years away from the guy, and his damned words of wisdom still haunted Amarant from time to time. He had more effect on Red's life than anyone, even Red himself, could ever imagine. Or admit. He tried to ignore most of it, but occasionally he would grudgingly allow one of Zidane's pearls to seep into his consciousness and guide his actions.

This, surprisingly, would be one of those times.

He turned to the Cleyran assassin who lay prone, bound and gagged. None too gently grabbing the assassin's hair, Amarant jerked his head up as he crouched down beside the figure. Taking his other hand, Amarant reached into the Cleyran's pouch and withdrew a vial. Placing it carefully in his own mouth, Amarant undid the gag from the Cleyran's mouth, broke the vial open, and poured the contents into the assassin's mouth. As the Cleyran struggled, Amarant held his mouth closed and pinched his nose, forcing him to swallow the liquid.

"Run back to whomever sent you and tell them that they'll have to do better than a clumsy assassin if they want to usurp the seat of Oeilvert. Your slow-acting poison will kill you in 11 hours. Luckily, Cleyra is only a 12-hour trip, if you catch the last ferry out. I suggest you hurry." Untying the bonds holding the Cleyran, Amarant hauled him bodily to his feet. He noted the strange combination of emotions on the Cleyran's face; confusion, admiration, disappointment, and respect were all present, though all were driven by an undercurrent of abject fear at his possibly imminent demise. The would-be assassin bolted in the direction of the Forgotten Docks, built shortly after the establishment of Oeilvert as a city. It would be a race against time for the Cleyran. Amarant wasn't sure whether he wanted the Cleyran to make it home, or he wanted him to die en route. Either way would be beneficial to Oeilvert, and thus, to him.

Turning around and walking slowly back down the hallway toward his living quarters, Amarant reset the trip line that would ring a small bell near his bed were anyone to step across a certain point in the hallway. It had been what alerted him to the presence of the assassin. After resecuring the line, he continued to make his way to his room, waiting for the day ahead. Or the next event to interrupt him.

      Robert Crescent

Robert smiled to hear how Anne had improved in her skills as a fighter. "Likewise. In fact, I recently graduated my training in the top of my my graduating military class and received my knighthood. I wouldn't mind seeing how much you've improved, but a spar will certainly have to wait until after Cleyra is safe." Robert repliedbefore placing his free hand upon her shoulder and giving it a friendly rub. He then looked off to the distant horizon.

"I'd hate to see the Cleyrans suffer a second tragedy. Right now, Burmecia is preparing for defensive measures while sending scouts in to guage the enemy forces with my mother spearheading the recon forces. Cleyra has so little in the way of a defense now that they no longer have the sandstorm, I can only hope we aren't too late." Robert replied to her, his tone going from friendly to serious and sombre.

Even though he wasn't even in the womb when it happened, Robert felt a strong kinship to his race, regardless of whether they called themselves Burmecians or Cleyrans. Both groups had recovered from what was almost complete annihilation due to Kuja, Brahne and Beatrix. Despite his friendship with Anne and Rusty, he was still a bit distant and indifferent in regards towards his attitude towards Beatrix. There was so much back and forth between the good things she did, the kind woman he knew her to be, and the terrible horrors she brought about upon his people.

"there it is, the gates of Buremacia" Stephen announced to the man who was Draped on his side "Teigann Vermount, my name is Teigann Vermont" the knight said "I shall get you home Teigann" Stephen replied a the pair grew ever closer to the City of Buremacia. It was around an hour after leaving The Grotto, Teigann was growing Ever weaker as Stephen's makeshift bandages weren't that great, but they were good enough to keep him alive until they reached a Doctor or white mage.

As they Strode into Buremacia, they were rushed by people wishing to help, Teigann was taken and Stephen Explained what happened. He Buremacian's understood why Stephen chose to Help, and Stephen offered his assistance to anyone who was heading to Cleyra hoping he could help defend them on the journey, he wasn't even going to wait thanks from Teigann's Family, if he had any, as Stephen didn't do it for the Gratitude, he did it to try and atone for his sins.

he looked around, wondering if anyone was to travel in the direction, if not he would head to Cleyra on his own, Journeying alone had it's perks, it would make him stronger in himself, and he wouldn't have to speak to anyone, Stephen often enjoyed the silence of the night, but just as often longed for a companion on his journey's a Group of Friends he could Speak with, and force away the loneliness.

(ooc) I'm going to move us along to Fossil Roo, so we can start heading to Cleyra, we've got a long way to go haha.

      Rior Laistan

      Black Mage Village - Outskirts

"Why Clerya?" The boy asked as he studied the map

      "Why not?"
Rior replied with a smirk. "If we can't get to Oeilvert to stop the enemy in their own town then we'll go to Cleyra and help defend them!" He thought that was a good enough reason.

"Ok. We go into Fossil Roo. From what the tales of Zidane states, it should lead us into the middle of the Mist Contientant. Inside a marsh called Qu's Marsh. After that, we should head north from Qu's Marsh until we hit Gizamaluke's Grotto. We go through there and Clerya should be walking distance from there. But before we get to Clerya, we should restock at Burmieca and also in Fossil Roo. Better safe then sorry in any case."

Well it seemed like they had a very long journey ahead of them, it was almost daunting how long they'd have to travel for, Rior hoped they'd make it to Cleyra in time. The war would probably be over by the time they got there. He rolled his sleeves up as it was getting a little warm and sighed.

"Lets hurry then, Lan." and with that he picked up the pace.

It took approximately 20 minutes to reach Fossil Roo. The entrance was a huge hole in a cliff. Looking up, Rior noticed a vine that looked like some kind of track. A monster called a Gargant was used in these areas to transport person from one side of Fossil Roo to the other. Perhaps it was still up and running? But how does one use a Gargant?

"So... Gargants... do you think it's still working here? It would be so much easier if we could just catch a ride on it..."
He asked Lan as he peered into the cave. He really didn't want to go by foot, after fossil roo they still had a journey ahead of them before they'd reach their destination, this would just cut down on time.
