Lack of Final Fantasy characters.

I'm not to sure if there is another thread like this so delete it if there is.

I finished this game a while ago and was pretty disappointed about the lack of Final Fantasy characters. There was only one which is Zack from VII. I know Final Fantasy characters are like an added bonus for Kingdom Hearts, but still they could have added more to this game.
Who else was disappointed about this?

Honestly, I'm glad. I've always maintained the issue that the Final Fantasy characters add very little to Kingdom Hearts and were only there to boost popularity which is why I'm glad Zack was only really a cameo in the game. I prefer the Disney side of it to be honest because you're taking characters that are innocent in the films and giving them a darker side. Originality is always the best way to go though, I prefer the original characters; Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua, Terra, Ven etc over both the Disney and Final Fantasy characters.

Nomura wanted Leon and the gang in BbS and follow the story of the fall of Hollow Bastion, but he said it would stray away from the plot of the game. Also, Laguna Loire was intended to be in BbS.

Have to say, I was kinda disappointed also by the lack of FF characters in BBS. Having said that though, it's better that they don't overload a KH game with FF characters unless they have a role in the progression of the storyline - there are so many strands in the storyline of each KH game that it's hard sometimes to keep up with each characeter's role.

I think that the lack of Final Fantasy characters was a good call. The game already introduces an almost entirely new cast. The addition of Final Fantasy characters would of been unnecessary. I think that the pre-Organization XIII members definitely made up for the missing FF characters since a big part of the story that was never explained was how the Organization came to be.

Like Ryan has said; I think it's about time the series stopped coasting off of the Final Fantasy series' reputation and it's beloved characters. It really never should have been a real aspect of the game in the first place imo.

I honestly didn't care. I was happy not to see that Sephiroth wasn't the "ultimate" boss in the game. I personally felt that the FF characters in the series that had become regulars really didn't add too much to the story line anyway. So, eh. And until they put either Vossler or Balthier in the next game, I don't care what new FF characters they put in.

I really like the fact that the Final Fantasy characters are in the Kingdom Hearts games but at times for me, I find that it sometimes distracts from an already complex line of original characters. Seeing as they introduced the true Master Xehenort and also Ventus, Terra and Aqua along with a few others, I think that if they had added more final fantasy characters other than the weird addition of a very childlike Zack it would have overcrowded the already crowded game.

i didn't mind it though i would have liked more original characters so that they could make it a 50 50 with the disney characters the final fantasy characters should all get killed of except for leon, cloud, auron, tidus, wakka and sephiroth fuck the rest of them.
