Something i've always been wondering.....

First, we have CC and FF7, THEN all of a sudden we see then in the KH series. Then they go back and it continues from there, into DoC and AC.

Here's my question. Did Cloud and Sephiroth decide to "take a breather" till the heartless and nobodies left? If so, why? if Leon can pwn them, theres no reason why Cloud and Sephiroth couldn't (Especially Sephiroth).

And Aerith isn't dead, WTF!
(I know they're not related in any timeline BTW.)

They are completely different games.

The Cloud/Sephiroth/Aerith/Tifa/Leon(Squall)/Yuffie/Selphie/Tidus/Wakka and whoever in KH and KH2 aren't the same people as in their original series/games.

So, no, they didn't "take a breather". They aren't the same people.

It's called piss poor writing. They assume the players won't care, so long as they can trigger the event of them confronting each other to your convenience. And think about the Final Fantasy characters for a minute, you've got a 10 year old Tidus, an 8 year old Selphie, and Cloud and Vincent's abominable love child. And the fact that they're all together in one place means? It's a silly crossover that barely has anything to do with anything. Enjoy.

Well probably they are from another universe altogether. You know... alternate dimensions... Like for example, there's an alternate dimension in FF7 where Aerith survives, Sephiroth is super weak, etc. Then there's this alternate dimension in FF8 where Selphie got a rare genetic disease that prevents her from growing up. Same with Tidus, etc.

Another theory... a top secret supervillain that can warp time and space and change the appearance/age of a character decides to merge all the worlds together and revive some dead characters.

I am trying to say that it's near impossible to come out with credible, unique, coherent, interesting and foolproof theory that define the crazy events taking place in Kingdom Hearts.

Kingdom Hearts, in my opinion, is weak in terms of storyline. I mean... How can you put Cloud and Winnie the Pooh in one game? I know that final fantasy games have cute stuff like moogles... but I am talking about how totally different existing stories are forcefully combined even though as you said they are non-canon...


But it is still possible to enjoy Kingdom Hearts even with all these things in mind. Just take it as a completely different, non-canon story and pretend you don't know who the characters are. I actually find KH:COM interesting and fun.

Still, love Kingdom Hearts, made me smile seeing Cloud for the first time (being a total badass), like his KH costume too, he suits the scarf!

Also, Nomura has said that Cloud and Aerith in KH is a gaiden, and that he wanted to give us answers about their relationship that we didn't get in VII. But I'm not too sure what's with the others. :/

It's just for fun, don't put to much thought into it. Nomura just wanted to have the cool characters from the FF series in different situations so that different possibilities could happen. It makes their stories more interesting and have more depth.

Didn't you ever wonder what it'd be like if Aerith was alive again? Of if Cloud and Squall ever met? Or if Cid was able to interact with other characters?

None of it relates to the actual games the characters come from. Dissidia isn't a 'bringing together' of the game, it's just fun having the whole quintillions of characters come together and being able to kill Tidus over and over again.

It's all meant in good fun. Mindless fun. Sometimes more mindless than good, and more trying than fun, but there you have it!


P.S.: Cloud and Squall xD I would love to see that reaction!
