How do roundabouts work in Australia?

Over here, we have to stop of someone is coming around from the lane to the right. We have to give way to them as they make their way around and can only feed in when their lane is either free or they are giving way to someone from the lane to the right of theirs... We drive backwards here, remember, so most countries will give way to the left.

You're not meant to wait if there's no one to give way to, though.

If we're not already on the roundabout and there is someone coming around from the right we always have to give way. It's always give way to your right, though if they're not on the roundabout yet you can always sneak in if you've got the chance too.

The people I'm complaining about are already on the roundabout, so they're going around and then they just stop and try to let people (who are giving way until they can get onto the roundbaout), onto the roundabout which causes a massive pile up.

If you're already on the roundabout people automatically give way to you, so those people on the roundabout shouldn't be giving way to anyone or stopping at all. XD

Does that make sense? I may have not explained it as well as I should have last time but I'm positive that's how it works in all countries.

Oh gosh. That IS bad driving... yeah, we'd fail our test here if we stopped on a roundabout. O_O It's not safe at all. I've never seen anyone do that, but if they did, it would be on my list too.

It's always old people.

I think they think they're being nice, which they are, but they're being dangerous more than anything. XD

Steve's Grandma did it once while he was in the car with her and he had to explain to her why it was bad. XD

I despise being cut up in anyway, the car could be coming out of a turn half a mile away but if hes coming out infront of me il be furious. A taxi cut me up earlier, because of themanner in which he did it aswell, left me straddling a crossing, but i couldnt go becuase the lights went red and he jut swerved in front of me before i could go. i was raging

Im quite bad for cutting people up myself though. especially on roundabouts. Im forever going from the inside lane to the outside

People following too closely drives me insane though! I either end up slowing right down, or just speeding off away from them. Slowing down seems to annoy them though. it does my head in, get the fuck from up my arse and stop distaacting me with your close proximity!

The whole speeding thing. Honestly, if you aren't rushing to go meet your wife in labour at the hospital or your bleeding mother who just fell down the stairs, then don't do it.

People do it just to hit some sort of satisfying feeling. Idiots take the safe speed for granted, and don't feel totally into it until they can actually feel that risk. They completely miss the point of speeding limits.

That's the one thing that just fucking gets to me. "Ohh you're so slow, driving the 50 in a 50 zone, wow you're a nerdd herp" yeah fuck you asshole.

He only has one and that's other drivers. I've seen it myself, there are so many horrible drivers out there, it's truly amazing they even got their license to begin with. Holy fuck. People driving on sidewalks, people not knowing how to park when there are no cars next to them, people not turning on their turn signals...... Guh!

After I've taken all these drives in the car over the past year, I must say, I hate humans even more now because of it. A damn chimp could probably drive better than most humans drive. I've been exposed even more so, to the stupidity of people..... By watching them drive.

It's truly amazing. I now understand why my Dad has road rage all the time.
