This is what mines looks like.
I remember when i used to have everything in one folder. Psd files renders c4d EVERYTHING. Considering all the resources i had it was crazy finding anything especially as i never name stuff appropriately. IL give a render a name like dfsvhdfgvhf and never find it again. Took me like 4 hours of organising to make all these wee folders etc and get everything in the right place.
Naturally i cleaned them up before i took the screenshot. :wacky: But this is what mines looks like all neat. Try to keep it fairly oraganised but i have too many stocks. I no longer hold onto any png sigs as i have them on tinypic and imageshack.
I think anyway most of us tend to use the same resources alot so we know exactly where to find them. I know im like that anyway.

Mine's not that organized. I used to do all mine on the laptop, but since the thing died, I haven't done much work on Photoshop.

Hahaha ayeah she gave me a load of resources so i thot they were kinda deserving of their own folder as theyre totally unique from everything i have :wacky:

I love the cs3 and above icons for psd files.

And I have mine organized from a few years ago, but over the past 2-3 years the folders keep piling up so I'm somewhat losing track of my files. I have folders within folders, but I'll show the main ones. Also, I would have more resources and files than shown, but the old ones were wiped out from my other laptop.


Part 1: I'm currently on file "Photoshop v4" as far as GFX work goes.

Part 8: Folder "PS C4Ds" >>> So there's my unfinished Champagne toss psd file! Obviously, it's in the wrong folder, but I'll fix that later. More C4D files, etc. I still have yet to experiment with a bunch of those images.

Anyway, I plan on re-organizing everything later this week and maybe even deleting ones that I know I won't use. I have so much crap that it's getting harder to navigate from folders to folders even if I know my way around my files.

But when I'm either: too lazy to fish the image out of the Picture thread, or I need it right away, I just save it to desktop. :lew:

I like how you keep your tags categorised by age. I deleted all my png/jpeg files as ive got them on imageshack and tinypic. There were so many it got out of hand.
I also deleted many psd files. I only kept psds for my most recent works and stuff that ive posted on DA etc. Anything im proud of, good to keep that psd for editting purposes and if i happen to stumble onto someone ripping my work i can prove i made it.

inside my c4d folder. Theres a few things there that shouldnt be. I barely use any of those c4d. I have my favourites.

The other stocks is probadly my favourite stock folder. Its that one where alot of stuff gets thrown in but its got so many good things and when i look thru it i alwyas find something awesome i forgot i had. I should add that these are images i use for makinf effects etc.

This folder needs sorting out majorly. Ive downloaded so so many render packs that im stuck with renders that il never ever even think about using :wacky:
80% of it is anime tbh and thats the one thing i really never ever work with.

This is a look insised just one of my stock people folders. This is the one labelled female stocks. Its a bit overkill in terms of how much i have, considering there are some hideous photographs in this folder.

I recently had a go at deleting everything. It didn't do much for me anymore as I definitely improved from when I first started. :wacky: I never used what I had anymore, so everything went bye bye for me. I regret some of it, but to be honest, I had so much, that I don't even know what I miss anymore. I'm just getting back into getting new resources that suit my style lately. It feels refreshing. :ryan:

Most things are still empty. I'm not much of a person to save my own siggies or avvies on the computer. :hmmm: I'm considering a change of photohost though. Photobucket is running low on space for me. :lew:

"LiveJournal Stuff" is random stuff from LJ, banners and icons I'll use as inspiration for example.

"Stuff" is general crap that I've made. Seeing as how I rarely make stuff outside of for AOTW most of the things I've made are in the S/AOTW folder.

This folder is probably the largest, it has every stock pack I've downloaded and stuff from tumblr as well

I rarely ever use any of this anyway, I'm always saving new things to "My Pictures" and going ahead with what I'm making, then afterwards deleting it :wacky:

I never mentioned before but if anyone wasnt any particular resource, i have just ask.
 
My graphic design folder looks super boring to tell the truth. :sad3: Lots of folders within folders, within folders, so there seems to be a woeful shortage of pictures. The irony. :ryan:

I keep most of my finished pieces on my external hard drive since I found I was getting a little sick looking at them. :D
