help how do i defeat defeat odin eidolon

hi im stuck here i cant seem to defeat odin i start useing war piece then back to dualcasting then war and piece and have also cast a spell on myself before battle to creat shell on hope by pressing r2 so hope heals but he still seems to win hope is on 370 hp and lightning 500 hp. thx 2 all the help im given on here very greatgul. but want to get this done now this odin as he goes mad with attacks i can fill his gauge a bit but then its game over.

Firstly, prepare yourself by equipping both Lightning and Hope with Spark Rings - if you have them. This should decrease the damage you receive from Odin's lightning-based attacks. You can also use an Aegisol or Fortisol shroud before the battle to give you battle advantages. Your best bet to fill the bar is to use RAV/RAV and attack constantly. If your HP falls dangerously low, try switching Paradigms to one with at least one Medic. Or you can use Potions. I would keep your HP high to survive his attack. Press square when it's filled.

help im really stuck on this odin battle i manage to fill the gauge with a little bit of blue but keep getting killed and hope isnt healing what is the magic so he heals im getting frustrated here doing this but now i need 2 get this battle done

There's only one spell to heal at the moment for you and it's "Cure". You do have it available from the Crystarium, right? Even if you don't, you have potions to use up - though having a Medic that can cast "Cure" would really help, especially when Odin brutally unleashes a chain of attacks occasionally.

Plus, you didn't need to make a separate thread for this.

This one was a bitch for me, but I did it! Basically what Swift said, use a Fortisol and Aegisol (if you have them) before battle. If not, have Hope as Synergist and wait for him to cast his spells on both party members, once he does that switch to the paradigm War and Peace. Have Lightning attack until you see Odin use his Shield. Once he does that then quickly switch to Dualcasting and just pummel him with spells until he resumes attacking. I switched back and forth between the War and Peace and the Dualcasting that way Hope could keep me healed while fighting him and then the Dualcasting when he's using his shield because that racks his gestalt gauge up. Just keep doing that and once his gauge is up, press square (not sure what it is on the 360) to end the battle and you're good to go. You also may want to consider going and grinding to get some more CP points and make your characters a bit stronger. Good luck!

alright, heres the step to step guide to how to beat Odin, i managed to beat that annoying bastard the second time through with a time that runs about 3 - 4 minutes.
First of all, hope will not cure in this battle*

before entering the battle, the only paradigm you're going to need is dual casting.
once the battle starts, spam auto cast/battle, lightning will use lightning, and hope will do his thing. After that, spam potions when odin takes the offensive. Repeat that process over 4-6 times and you'll be ready to take victory.
