Summoning Eidolon's

I summoned Odin a few battles ago, maybe 2 battles ago, and now I just entered a new battle but now the Summon option is grey, is there a limit to how many summons I can use? Or a certain time period I have to wait till I can summon him again? I love summoning Eidolon's there one of the coolest things in the battle system.

I've tried reading the "Primers: Battle - Eidolon Battles" in game but it says nothing about time periods or anything.

Edit: I just realised the little bar under my HP bar needs to be at 3 to summon, but how does it rise? Is it just everytime I attack?

You earn the ability to summon Eidolons through TP, which you earn by winning battles. An Eidolons health, as well as its Gestalt Mode, is decided by TP. Fight a few more battles and chances are you'll be able to summon again.

No problem. Don't forget, getting five star ratings will boost it best, so go for that with pre-emptive strikes for a higher chance of this.

Also, another useful hint, if you have any "Ethersol" (Like the deceptisol and Aegisol you find early on) use them when near a group of enemies in order to completely refill your TP gauge, although these are... expensive and it would not be a good idea to use one every time you enter a fight, just in case.
