you all know the storyline, but to start off with the members of the Hunters are on 'shore leave' as in, we are on earth, in the hunters Hq (it's in the carribean Islands) stocking up on supplies for not only the Archangel, but also the Eternal that is in Orbit. The Archangel is in the Main dock getting supplies and us pilot's, get to put our feet up and relax on the sandy beaches, so enjoy If you want to.

_____________________________________________

Lay on the white sandy beach outside the Hunter's main HQ, Stephen was enjoying the sun, wearing only a pair of swimming shorts, Stephen was soaking in the suns rays, enjoying his time off. with his MP3 player headphones in his ears, Stephen was oblivious to the sounds around him. Looking up to the sky, this was one of few times he was smiling.

as he sat up, he looked around and saw some of the weaker pilots who fly the support suits for the hunter organization. he knew few of them as he was quite arrogant and only really interacted with the Ace pilots. standing up, Stephen pulled his headphones out and heard a female voice shout over to him.

as he turned he saw a pritty attractive femalepilot running over to him, he smiled as it was his time to have some fun. "hello" she muttered shyly as she arrived. "Hey" Stephen replied smirking "My friends were wondering if your the pilot of the Strike freedom?" she asked "the pilot codenamed Tribal" she added quickly causing Stephen to smile "yea, i am, this tattoo kinda gives it away" he joked as she began to giggle.

"And I'm sorry to cut our conversation short, but i kinda promised Strike i would spend some time with him" Stephen added, giving the girl a puzzled look "there are no pilots in the organization called Strike" she announced "Yea, i know, i meant the Strike freedom" Stephen informed her, before heading back towards the base, and the Archangel.

Mary was laying on a towel on the sands of this Caribbean beach. She was reading an old book of poems that her mother gave her before she left for the military. She rarely ever smiled, but this was one of the few exceptions.

Unlike Hownam, the top ace in the Hunter's group, Mary always kept the modifications on her Gundam intact. She never liked to overmodify her Gundam like Stephen did, only to ensure that everything worked. So when Stephen headed up towards the base, she thought, "So he goes up to fix up Strike Freedom. Heh, that guy is weird sometimes." Before going back to her book.

Striding through the Base Stephen was thinking about every battle he had ever been in, and how the Strike Freedom and him had pulled through some tight battles on one piece together.

As he got to the loading bay of the Archangel, he grabbed a crate of supplies, medical he thought, from outside and carried it in, to the surprise of the burly men hauling the crates onto the ship. Stephen placed the crate with the others in the supply hangar and headed for the Hangar bay in which the Freedom was bein temporarily stored, Stephen always hated comming to earth as he didn't like the Lay out of the Archangel and was much more acoustomed to the Eternal.

After 20 minutes of walking through the hallways of the ship, he entered the hangar he was looking for, and infront of him was his beloved suit, the Strike Freedom, he strode over to it, and grabbed the hoisting cable that took him up to the cockpit.

Once inside Stephen powered up the Freedom and began checking over it's systems. he knew everything was running fine, he just didn't like the maintainance crews working on the Freedom's O.S (operating system) and once everything was checked, he requested a Launch order, and was granted the permission, Another reason Stephen didn't like being on earth was because of the earth allience.

as the Freedom was toed to the Launching catapault, he opened a com channel to the Bridge of the Archangel, "Stephen Hownam, Strike Freedom headin out" he announced before the Freedom rocketed down the catapault and was released, bursting out, the Freedom's Phase shift armour activated, and the blue and white colours of the Freedom with the signature golden joints was un-mistakable.

Stephen preformed a few flips and spins in the Freedom, to make sure the suit was still as mobile as the day before and then landed atop the archangel, crouching onto one knee and waiting, just incase any trouble kicked off.

Hm... the water seems nice.... Should i take a dip...?

Hmph. This is a waste of time... we shold get going...to where there is fighting...

Aw, ignore Inglesia. She's an old coot. Go and enjoy yourself...

Riina shrugged her shoulder and slipped knee deep into the water. It was cool and the slow waves was slightly hypnotic. This time, she had to agree with Fabiola. As much as she had to be alert, even she needs time to relax. Right now, Inglesia had turned off and went silent.

....

Are you angry, Inglesia?

There was silence and Riina shrugged her shoulder. It did not do to make her too angry. With a slight regretful sigh, Riina wallowed a few more second in the waves before emerging. She saw Mary lounging around , but Stephen as missing. Already, her pale skin was beginning to heat up and instantly pulled on a loose, white t-shirt over her bikini and put on a straw sunhat. Riina looked out around for any other pilots. Mary was rather close, so Riina curiously walked up.

Mary, whatcha doin?

Tch, waste of time...

Shut up! Riina muttered softly to the side.

Mary looked up and saw Riina walking up towards her. She put a bookmark in her book of poems as she asked...

"Mary, whatcha doin?"

"I'm reading my book of poems."

Mary knew of Riina's DID condition, and Mary paid no mind to that. She is kind of sympathetic to her and her other personalities, unlike ZAFT. So whenever she could, she would try to talk to whatever holds the dominant personality.

Mary then said to Riina in case she asked, "And if you're wondering about Stephen..." As she said this, Stephen launched Strike Freedom from the Archangel and began doing his maneuvers, "He's showing off....as usual." Mary then went back to her book.

Sat in the cockpit of the Freedom, Stephen was looking over at the horizon, and could see nothing but open sea's "well i guess nobody feels like Launching an assault on the Archangel when it is getting supplies and unable to defend itself" Stephen muttered "Tribal, come in, and go enjoy the sun will you, we have pilots on standby in case there is an attack, your an ace pilot and should be enjoying your time off" the captains voice bellowed through the intercom, making Stephen smile.

he jumped off of the archangel and took the freedom back inside the hangar bay. when the Freedom was returned to it's bay, Stephen headed off of the ship, where a car was awaiting to take him to the beach. It only took the jeep a couple ofminutes to return Stephen to the beach.

Jumping out of the beach, he pulled off the T-shirt he had put on and walked over to Riina and Mary "hey girls, how are you enjoying the sun?" he asked with a smile on his face.

Mary saw Stephen now coming up towards Mary and Riina. Once again, she closed her book and said. "You're a big showoff, you know?" She said in a serious, yet somewhat playful mocking tone. "You're supposed to be on vacation, not dancing in your gundam." She stopped speaking, then laughed, saying, "You remind me of someone who does the same thing, only except he was trying to impress the ladies. So, are you trying to impress someone?"

Stephen smiled at Mary's comment "nobody really, just making sure that the Freedom handles the same on earth as it does in space, after all this is the first time i have returned to earth in over a year" Stephen announced as he looked out over the ocean "everytime we come back, i stay in space with the Eternal" Stephen explained.

Slipping out of his flipflops and taking a couple of steps towards the ocean, Stephen was relaxed, this was the first time he had felt sand between his toes in 10 years.

Going back to her book, Mary said, "You need to spend more time on Earth Stephen. Relax, while we have something left to relax on." Turning over to Riina, Mary said, "Why don't you do the same? You look dead beat."

Mary may be acting friendly now, but once battle starts again, she would be ready to face off against whatever comes her way.

Riina chewed on her lips a bit as she watched her two comrades chat. As always, she was a bit slow and a bit of an airhead, so most of the time, she is always happily standing around, listening to them talk. It was not particularly enjoyed by the other hers though.

Aw! Riinaaaaa! You're sooooo boring! Talk to them!

As i said. They're not worth my time. Lets just go...

Caught between the two, Riina chose to go with Fabiola. After all, she didnt have many people to talk with during her isolation at Z.A.F.T.

"Why don't you do the same? You look dead beat."

Wha...? Me? Ehehehe... i guess so. My head is starting to hurt a bit. The two won't stop talking.

Riina made a pouty face and kicked childishly at the sand. Plonking herself down on the beach chair next to Mary's

Oh... yeah. Do you know when we are leaving? Inglesia is getting annoyed that we are wasting time...

Secretly, she could agree with Stephen. Maybe it was the training or indoctrination, but Riina felt at ease the most sitting inside the cockpit of Le Cygne. The beach was nice, but her Gundam was like her own sanctuary.

Stephen was stood looking at Riina and Mary, he had a slight smirk on his face. Stephen was beginning to enjoy shore leave due to the girls attire, it was nice to see them in something other than combat gear. Stephen pulled his phone out of his pocket as it began ringing, he looked at the others with a slight depression on his face as he listened.

After a few minutes on the phone he hung up and let out alarge sigh. "Bad news ladies" Stephen muttered as he spun around to face the base "we gotta go, Archangel's fully supplied" Stephen announced as he began striding towards the base, Glancing back over his shoulder at Riina and mary Stephen shouted "So lets move girls, we have to be back within the next half an hour or were getting left behind"

Altho the group was only around a 10 minute walk away from the Archangel, Stephen was the first back, he signed in on the crew roster and then headed towards the briefing room, there was bound to be a mission waiting for them.

Mary closed her book, and said to Riina with a straight face and a serious tone, "Well, that depends on when we get our next mission. Be fortunate that there is a lull in the fighting for now. So as far as Inglesia is concerned, She needs to relax, while we have an excuse to relax."

What Mary said was the truth, she didn't mind fighting, and in fact was in total peace in her suit, but with the recent break from conflict she needs every reason to take time to relax or else she would be exhausted all the time.

When Stephen pulled out his phone, Mary finally got up and started picked up her towel she knew that a mission has come up and it was time to go. He said, "Bad news ladies, we gotta go, Archangel's fully supplied. So lets move girls, we have to be back within the next half an hour or were getting left behind"

Mary then said to Riina, "Well then, I guess you don't have to wait after all. Let's head back to base. I'll wait for you there."

Mary then headed in the direction of Archangel. Mary made it on board and signed the crew roster. She then headed to her quarters and changed into a formal officer's uniform, then left for the briefing room.

"Bad news ladies, we gotta go, Archangel's fully supplied. So lets move girls, we have to be back within the next half an hour or were getting left behind"

Riina sighed.
Well, happy now?

Idling around is to rust your skills. It is much better.

Fabiola knew that she should stay out of it and she was right. It was typical of Inglesia to say something like that. Sprining to her feet, Riina jogged off behind Mary towards the Archangel. Wadding through procedures and what not, Riina only held her eyes on Le Cygne for a few seconds before going to change. Tugging her unifrom onto her body, with meticulous care, Riina straightened every crease and righted every detail before stepping in next to Mary and Stephen at the briefing room.

Stephen stood in the briefing room as the two girls entered in their uniform's, After looking down at his attire, of a pair of knee length green swimming shorts, he let out a large sigh before muttering "here we go again" the door slid open and a man who looked in his 50's walked in.

he had a grey moustache to match his grey hair, and was wearing the Captain's uniform, a man in the corner burst out with "captain on deck" and all of the uniformed men stood at attention, Stephen on the other hand stayed leant against the table. as thought nothing had changed.

"at ease soldiers" the captain announced as he walked over to the table and hit a button, causing a holographic map came up "we have been hired to support Earth forces in defending their alaska base, Zaft is attacking from the Orbit, and Earth is haveing some problems fighting them off, there are currently 3 Nazca class ships in Orbit, Dropping Zaku Unit's in from above" the captain announced, before a moment of hesitation "the Minerva is also on earth, attacking from the sea, and you know what that means Tribal" the captain announced.

As the captain mentioned the minerva Stephen stood up and strode over to the window, gazing out over the Ocean "captain, do we know if the Minerva's Ace pilots are in the fray?" Stephen Questioned "Yes, the Destiny, the Impulse and the Legend" Stephen's composure Seemed to shatter as the Legend was mentioned. Stephen turned to face the captain who nodded and continued with the briefing.

"We are to Destroy the Zaft forces or force them to retreat. By all means necassary, we shall be arriving in alaska in 2 hours, make sure your prepared" the captain announced "Dismissed" he then added. Stephen was the first out the door, he headed straight to his room and got changed into his jeans, a white T-shirt, his white trainers. he left his room and headed for the hangar.

Meanwhile in the briefing room. . .
The Captain watched as Stephen left, and then turned his attention to Maryand Riina "Listen girls" he announced "Please make sure Stephen doesn't do anything reckless, the Minerva is the ship that destroyed the city his parents were living in, and the same three pilots are in the impulse, Destiny and legend" he was informing the girls of this because Stephen never could control himself when in combat against the minerva. "he will probably try to destroy the three Zaft ace suits on his own. he is still looking for his revenge"

Mary thought, "So Minerva was the ship responsible for killing Stephen's parents....well, in Stephen's case, he probably deserves taking his revenge." After listening to the briefing, she was told by the captain to make sure Stephen doesn't do anything reckless. Mary said, "You know I cannot guarantee something like that, sir. It's gonna cost you extra, but....I'll do what I can to keep the kid out of trouble." And with that, she left for her mobile suit.

Mary's mobile suit was an Aegis Gundam model taken from ZAFT Forces. Unlike Tribal's Strike Freedom, which was built from the ground-up to suit his unpredictable fighting style. Mary's mobile suit was modified for high-speed engagemets as well as accuracy, focusing on getting a lock as quickly as possible and bringing the target down, no matter how improbable the shot may be.

The battle was set to be at Earth's JOSH-A Base, the Atlantic Federation's primary Base of operations. Therefore, it was a high-paying mission and she was ready to face off against her former allies.

Stephen watched as Mary came into the hangar and went over to the Aegis. Stephen wasn't happy about the fact that there were going to be two other pilots in the air who could match the Legend, Destiny and Impulse in the upcomming battle situation. Stephen's cockpit opened and he Stepped, looking down at Mary and gritted his teeth.

"Mary, just to let you know" Stephen shouted to her, a hint of rage in his complexion "you stand in my way, I'll see you as one of them" he announced before re-entering his cockpit and sitting in his chair.

The Strike Freedom was moved, by Stephen's request, to the front of the Launching line, and was put on the Catapault so it could be Launched as soon as the Archangel arrived in the battle field.

As Mary was checking to see if everything was working, Stephen opened his cockpit and said, "Mary, just to let you know, you stand in my way, I'll see you as one of them." Mary responded coldly, "That has never stopped me before Stephen. If you are so content with revenge, I'm not going to stop you." She then started to show a little rage back, "But if your revenge endangers me, Riina, or the lives of this ship, I will not hesitate to kill you, do you understand?" To her, the lives of her pilots are the only thing that matters after witnessing the deaths of her men at the Mexico City Massacre, and she was not going to let Stephen try to do the same thing again.

"This is Prometheus," Mary said as she entered the cockpit of the Aegis Gundam "As soon as we get to the combat area, launch my unit after Tribal."

Riina scratched the back of her head a bit at the mention of Z.A.F.T. Very much like Mary, they were her former comrades. In fact, it was a worse situation for her since she was supposed to be dead. Stephen's desire for revenge didnt bother herself too much as she did not suffer any experience that can rival what the other two have felt. However, that doesn't mean she was willing to let him go stupidly into the fray blind. She heard what he had said. "you stand in my way, I'll see you as one of them" It was going to be tough supporting him. Nonetheless, Riina gave a swift nod and went to suit up.

Apparently, it wasn't a particularly good time to walk into the hangar as the air seemed tense around Mary and Stephen, but it broke somewhat with Strike Freedom being moved into position to be catapulted. Skipping up the gangplanks and towards her cockpit, Riina slipped easily into her seat before booting up the system. With lightning speed, the system check was done and everything was all green. She had left her 90mm off her payload for better maneauverbility. Since it was on earth, it would just weigh her down. This is Einhorne. All systems green. Please launnch the Le Cygne after the Aegis. Her fingers began drumming the two joysticks that controled her robot, a trait that always happened beofre combat whilst whistling a really old nursery rhyme from the 21st century.

Sat in his cockpit on the Catapault, Stephen was getting bored, then a beeping began on one of his consoles, he hit the button and the captain's face appeared on the intercom Screen. "Tribal, try to control yourself, i know you have history with the crew and pilots of the Minerva, but what you have to remember is Zaft pay us to do mission's of their own, and we don't want you doing anything to put our cash income at risk" the Captain announced "Sir, with all due respect, keep your nose out of my business, you may deal with Zaft, but to date i haven't taken part in one of their missions, and i intend to keep it that way" Stephen informed the captain.

"we are approaching the battlezone" the captain announced causing Stephen to smile "send me out now" Stephen announced, "It will save time when we arrive in the Battlezone" Stephen announced "good thinking Tribal, Good luck, and godspeed, all systems go, Launch when ready" the captain informed him.

As the catapault opened, Stephen checked his systems one last time, and then nodded, "Tribal, strike Freedom, Heading out" Stephen announced as the Freedom rocketed down the catapault. as soon as it was clear of the Archangel the Freedom burst into life and Launched towards the battlefield at top speed.

With Stephen launching out, Mary was next in line. The captain said, "Prometheus, your next, good luck out there, and keep Tribal out of trouble." Mary responded, "I know, I know." After final checks to see that all her electronics were working, Mary said, "Prometheus, Aegis, rolling out!" The Aegis rocketed down the catapult and launched out of the Archangel. All boosters began to light up and she put then onto full afterburner, rocketing at a high enough speed that she was able to catch up with Strike Freedom easily.

Over the radio, Mary told Stephen, "Remember what I said. I have no qualms about your revenge, but do not let it interfere with this mission."

In reality, she didn't care about fighting for either ZAFT or Earth. Probably because she knows that war between the two will continue to perpetuate itself, and only by fighting would she be able to live her life. But she did care for the people that were fighting on her side, that was why she was preparing herself in case she had to fight him.
