Final Fantasy 8 PSX Box Art?

I'm getting FF8 off of Ebay, and in the picture... it looks like the box art is different. It's not the pink thing with a picture of Squall, Rinoa and Seifer with Edea at the top, it's a black cover with a picture of squall and white text that says Final Fantasy VIII... so ummm... here's the picture:

Is this the manual or something? I find the picture kind of confusing... if that's the manual.... does that mean there's no cover? T-T

btw, this copy is 26 bucks.... is that worth it? It IS the black cased copy as well...

Hmmm it looks like quite possibly the cover inside the case is missing. That IS the manual with Squall on it however. I just looked at my copy and it has Squall, Rinoa and Seifer with Edea in the background. Seems that's the only thing missing. I'd say it's worth the price certainly because I'm not really seeing it for any cheaper, tbqh.

What confuses me... Is the case sitting there face down? I can't really tell, you can see the clear plastic part that holds the CD... but is that the front? or the back of the case? I sure hope it comes with the case... I would be VERY dissapointed if it didn't.

The best thing I can tell you to do is the send the Ebay seller a question. If it turns out the original cover art doesn't come with the game you could always search for another one on ebay. There usually are quite a few copies of FFVIII being sold on there.

I would probably buy a new one to be honest. I got a new copy from ebay for 20-something dollars. But then again that was like 2-3 years ago. Still, a new copy would be worth it, especially if you have doubt in your mind.

I'm pretty sure the case if face up. It looks like it might be missing the cover art, like Mandi said. If it doesn't show a picture of the back of the discs, I'd pass. You never know if they have scratches on them or not. You can always search for another copy or try Amazon. There are black label editions listed there for around the same price.

Ah, don't feel stupid. A lot of the times it's fairly easy to miss the seller's smaller print. I know I have. That's why you gotta read every inch of the auction before bidding. Anyway, good look with the other copy you found!

Hey, at least they actually put it there. xD I remember buying and easyCap from someone on eBay (can't remember who) and later found it they'd mentioned it was damaged in the text, in white. ¬¬

my friend also got, a Final fantasy 8 PC box Art, but i'm not so sure if that is really a box art, or just natural on the cd.
