      Timeline of the Ivalice games

Does someone know what is the timeline of the Ivalice games' events?
Or there is no actual timeline for some games?

From what I have read on wikipedia, FFTA, FFTA2, FFXII and FFXII:RW happened around the same time. FFT appears to come much later.
But this is as far as I know, and I want to know more!
As I really like the Ivalice Alliance (mainly FFXII and FFTA).
I really want to know how the games have, if they did, affected each other's plot. Of course there are some very obvious connections like FFXII and FFXII:RW (and I think FFTA2 too, but haven't played it yet). But there are some games which connecting them is hard, like FFT and FFXII.

I am a fusion of those two: (according to that site anyway)

      Completed FFs List

FFXII, FFTA, FFVII, FFT, FFVIII, FFIX, FFI, FFX, FFII, FFIII, FFIV, FFXII:RW, FFX-2, FFV, FFVI, FFTA2, FFXIII

      Favorite FF so far: FFV

      From FF Wikia:

A brief over-look of the history of Ivalice. These are based on the definitive records in the respective Ultimania of each game and in-game information.

      Spoiler!

      Game Timeline
Due to the history info provided above, the order that the games go is the following:
I think that explains it really well and is the closest I know to what the history and order of the Ivalice games follows.

FFXII essentially comes first, and FFTA really comes last as the Ivalice that Marche comes from is far into the future.

Not sure if that is entirely accurate (though it is based on Ultimania records and in-game information, so I can't really question it much), but it is the best explaination connecting them together I have seen.

EDIT - Just added spoiler tags to the above.

Take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ivalice-time.jpg . It's in Japanese, but Wikipedia translated it.
I thought that XII happened after FFT, but it happened before FFT!
Apparently, the 12 knights that held the auracite killed the "demon" before the Galtean Alliance took place. And St. Ajora apparently turned the Light of Kiltia religion into the Church of Glabados, after XII takes place, but before the "catastrophe" (Mullonde, right? I haven't played FFT in ages...) and FFT take place. Complicated, eh?
Here's more about The Light of Kiltia and the religions of Ivalice if you are interested:
Quote Originally Posted by Sage Knowledge 07 - The Light of Kiltia

The religion of the Ordalian peoples is a dualistic system -- a polytheistic pantheon with a God of Light, Faram the Father, at its head. After embarking on a pilgrimage to proselytize and deliver the word of the vision he had seen to the people, Kiltia came to Mt But-Omisace, and from there his teachings spread. The Light of Kiltia, as his teachings were called, continued even after his death, until they covered all of Ivalice. Though the followers and churches of Kiltia are spread far and wide, they do not interfere in affairs of state or governance. Though at one point the church held considerable influence, they willingly discarded that power, fearing oppression. Ever since, church officials with the rank of celebrant or higher have been forbidden from participating in statecraft. In addition, Mt Bur-Omisace maintains a mutual non-incursion policy with the surrounding territories. Several years after Kiltia's founding, Saint Ajora began a new teaching, claiming that Faram alone was the one true god, the popularity of this new sect further lessening the power of the Light."
      Interesting, eh?

Wow! Thanks a lot for the information!

As I got a NDS today (yay!), so I plan to play FFTA2 and FFXII:RW.
So I better finish them before reading the whole thing. (read only until the The Age Of Technology)

I have to admit that the history is much more amazing than what I thought and it looks like the games really ARE connected. I love the Ivalice Alliance even more now!
