The Consortium

Purpose: To collect and help raise up talented RP'ers.

It's a pretty simply purpose for a reason...mostly because I don't have a whole lot of ideas. That's where you all, the future members of this Guild, come into play.

My plan is to collect two groups of people:

1) Premier RP'ers...that is to say, masters of the craft.
2) Amateur RP'ers...that is to say, those who lack experience but are willing to learn.

Group One will not only help Group Two improve on their journey to be better Role-Players, but both Groups will all help each other to promote member RPs and RPBs. The old saying goes "practice makes perfect", and I expect to see plenty of Consortium-sponsored RPs and RPBs in the near future...assuming people are interested, of course.

Beyond that, it's simply an issue of posting in this thread to apply. In your post, simply tell me what division you would like to apply for, either Premier or Amateur (these names are subject to change with/without reason ).

Those applying for the Amateur division will basically be accepted on that basis alone. Those applying to be in the Premier division will be sent a somewhat rigorous test by myself, which will be looked at to determine possible membership in the Premier Division.

Before I finish, I want to note that my purpose isn't to collect talented RPers so that we can be elitist or something like that. The Consortium will never have close membership, my goal is to simply help to promote activity in this section, as well as give new RPers a community where they can feel welcome.

So that's that. I await your posts.

I'm also open to suggestions and stuff as well...I'm not so arrogant as to think I've created the perfect Guild here.

Ok so I've got limited experience at free-range RPing in the old yahoo and aol chatrooms, but I forgot how that went. I'm a writer and a poet, so I might be needlessly descriptive and whatnot, but with proper ruling and such, I'm sure I could get back on the "saddle" as the term would have it. I don't know whether to apply for the Premier or the Amateur, so in lieu of my lack of recent experience, I'll go with Amateur. We need a banner, by the way.

I have started an RP, Justin, and I think it'll lend itself well to both amateurs and vets alike. So Mack and Dusty, I encourage you to join up and give it a whirl, as well as you Liam. Twihard's already in, as are a few others.

If you want, Justin, I can slap a Consortium-approved type of label on it, if that's acceptable.
