Well First of all where can I get better soldiers cause as far as I know my freakin soldiers suck. My Battle Rank is 24 or something around there but its still a little hard. I would beat them If I get stronger soldiers. But Castanea hits really hard with that boulder attack or even when he throws Roeas at you. Well the guest union sucks because they do whatever they want so its pretty hard. My Rush is really strong at attack but his defense is only 23 which kinda sucks. Any leader reccomendations here? I just recruited Nora and she is pretty strong at attack but her hp sucks. Btw When you take down there forces it gets harder with just the 2 of them. David is awesome. I use David's division for this fight. But In my guide it says keep David because you might get the EX Machina attack randomly. So yeah can anyone help me out Im really addicted to this game.

Okay, this battle is definitely a tough one, that's a guarantee.

But first - soldiers. When getting soldiers, try to look at their Arts and Equipment. I recommend getting Canna, Deacon, Parker (he is a BEAST), Agipur (you won't get him until later though), Sutherby, to name some. Make sure that you have at least one or two healers in each union. For leaders, Rush, Dave, Caedmon, Baulson (you should have gotten him early in the game because he's seriously a must-have) and Emmy (you'll get her towards the end of disc one). Try to have Rush and Baulson together since they're awesome when it comes to Combat Arts. I heard that Nora's also pretty good, but I don't use her.

So anyway, I'm assuming you're talking about The Nest of Eagles fight. To start off, don't get too close to Castanea and Roeas yet. Have all your unions finish off the strike, escort, and magus squads. Also, pay attention to the Guest Union and where they're headed off to. You want to keep them alive long enough so that they act as a decoy while you're facing Roeas and Castanea. So make sure you send maybe one or two unions to where they're at and help them out. Anyway, by this time Roeas and Castanea should be mobile by now, so have Rush's union (assuming it's your strongest one) deter Roeas, and maybe have Dave or Caedmon's union go after Castanea, while the rest hang back and finish the rest of the enemy squads. It's going to be a very tight fight, so keep your HP up. If given a choice, attack and heal at the same time. If you're lucky, either Rush or Dave might do their special attack, but don't rely on that 'cause it may never come.

This took me like 4 or 5 tries, so if you keep losing, just try again. Maybe have your unions do one or two quest and have them gain a few stats up, but just make sure your BR stays as low as possible. I would also recommend using the Hawk-Eye formation. Trust me, that helps a lot since your units will block more attacks.

Dont wana make a new thread over this little question but can anyone confirm that the xbox 360 strategy guide for this game is compatible with the PC version as well? Ive looked and only found one that covers 360, there both probly the same exact thing but i wana make sure before i go buy it. The PC version was released on March 20th.

I'm not 100% sure, but I doubt there's a strategy guide for the PC version (or PS3 for that matter), so I am very certain that the guide covers all three platforms. I know it says it covers the XBox 360, but I'm sure they're all pretty much the same. Just the stats of the characters, the weapons they use, the abilities they learn, and the how fast/slow the BR increase are probably the major ones that are slightly different.

For instance, if you take a look at this, you'll see that there's a few changes here and there:

http://lastremnant.wikia.com/wiki/Baulson

But other than that, the game should progress pretty much the same. I mean you shouldn't have to rely on a guide when it comes to your characters' stats and what weapons they ask for anyway. It all just comes naturally as you play.

Ya the guides kinda crap, it tells u all the different components but doesnt tell me where i can find them! im sitting there thinking... who the %#%$ made this >_< but being a crazed gamer i still bought the guide yesterday at game stop and getting comfirmation with the dude there that it covers both just the buttons and keys explained in it covers the 360. I dont know why i do it but i just gata buy a guide for nearly ever game i own even if i can just look one up online and print it for free. I like collect them XD

but thanks for further confirming this

Oh for the different components, your best bet is to definitely google it online. xD "Where can I find Platinum Ore?" and you'll definitely come across an answer on Gamespot. So really, even though I have the guide, I still use the internet to do some researching around.

Another question, there any difference between the troops i hire from guilds and the ones i hire from the recruitment officer in the middle of town? Stats are nearly the same but hire troops from guilds look so much more unique. and if i can just get the same type of troops for free wats the point in paying for them at guilds?

You probably figured it out already, but I'll post just in case.

The ones in the guilds are 'leaders'...you can only have a maximum of 6 battle leaders in the game, and a total of 18 units overall. So you have to choose your leaders wisely...

Mine are Rush (no choice in that one), Dave, Irina, Emma, Baulson and Caedmon. I hired Baulson and Caedmon as leaders from the Guild. As for the units, you have to hire 12 in total so make your best choice. Stick with them from the beginning until end and they'll grow to be very strong. Make sure to look at their weapons and arts before hiring them and make sure they're good. I did a bit of research on the units and found the ones I like. =]
