10 years after the mansion incident in racoon city....

Umbrella has all but ceased to exist as a global power, the truth exposed and the founders no longer alive, many believe Umbrella to be nothing more but a shadow of a horrible past, TriCell is believed to be the new threat as the BSAA is formed to combat the ever growing threat....however Umbrella is far from a shadow as once thought....

Behind the shadows a new puppeteer pulls the strings behind the TriCell corp as a new and more sinister mastermind has assumed control of the Umbrella corp and is secretly rebuilding several research facilities, the first of which to see its construction finished......The old mansion facility in Racoon city.

After the nuclear strike upon the once peaceful city, many believed it to be un-inhabitable, and all forms of life would have been eradicated, however reports are coming in to the BSAA that Racoon city has somehow been restored to its former self, and is once again a sprawling populace.....something is definatley a-miss....

Several members of BSAA are despatched to racoon city, among them Chris Redfield and his sister Claire, accompanied by Barry Burton, Leon S Kennedy, Sheva Alohmar and Rebbeca chambers.....

Upon Arrival, Racoon city seems like it did before the incident, a sleepy city but still full of life, a new S.T.A.R.S unit as even been formed, as they soon find when they witness an attempted bank robbery as several of the new S.T.A.R.S alpha team is despatched to halt the robbery, which they do so with the same proffesionalism as the orginal S.T.A.R.S team....but as they turn to leave, Chris notices a glint of yellow in the eyes of one of the members.....the same glint that appeared in the eyes of his greatest nemesis Albert Wesker....

As if things were not strange enough, the bird-masked lady they had encountered in Africa had been following them, and had tracked them all the way here....things are far from normal and its up to you to find out and survive this horror once and for all!!

Welcome back to Racoon city and the RP! Its up to you as either a member of the BSAA squad that has been despatched to discover the secrets that the newly rebuilt city holds, and ultimatley survive the horrors that lurk deep within the city and the restored mansion.

Or maybe your a member of the new S.T.A.R.S unit, although you are unaware of the truths of the city including its past, you hold secrets of your own...secrets that only the survivors of the original Racoon city disaster know of, its up to you weather you protect the city from these "outsiders" or work with them to uncover the truth, a truth that will ultimatley decide your fate!

Or perhaps you are one of the newly reformed umbrella corp, working behind the scenes to restore the once global behemoth to its former glory...deception, trickery, stealth and a whole host of bio-weapons are just a part of your tool-set as you work to stop the BSAA from uncovering the truth behind the new Racoon city!

This is a non-canon Resident Evil RP, so it does not directly link with the events on the games, but will contain some story content from the series including number 5 that can be seen as a spoiler, so if you are still playing, I strongly advise you NOT to join the RP until you have finished the game.


As a member of the BSAA you can choose to be either of the following, but remember you must provide a sufficent bio (template at the bottom of this post) and pm me for acceptance for that character:

S.T.A.R.S team members and Umbrella corp operatives will be created characters, with the exception of 4 special characters that will be introduced further into the plot (later start point) if you are interested in playing the availible 3 special characters please pm me with your interest and I will let you know more about the secret characters.

I will need at least 2 people to play special characters as the RP will not be able to continue past a certain point without them, I'm sure they will be interesting to those that opt to play as them.

Ok, I have only seen the movies, and only completed RE5. Do I then have enough knowledge to enter this RP? And for the record, I love the "bird lady's" mask, and yes I know who it is but will not reveal it as I assume there is a reason to why you did not. My next question, what do you mean by
I will need at least 2 people to play special characters as the RP will not be able to continue past a certain point without them, I'm sure they will be interesting to those that opt to play as them.

What do you mean by 'special characters'? Is this the "named" ones you mentioned, or something else?

Backstory:

The Mansion Incident:

On July 23rd 1998, the S.T.A.R.S Bravo Team was deployed to the outskirts of Racoon City located in the Arklay Mountains after evidence of grisly, cannibalistic murders. A day later, after contact with Bravo team was lost, the Alpha team was sent to find out what happened to their comrades. Soon after their arrival, the team found the destroyed remains of Bravo team's helicopter and were quickly attacked by vicious Cerbari ; canines infected with the T-Virus. After witnessing the death of fellow Alpha team member Joseph Frost, the team was abandoned by their helicopter pilot, Brad Vickers and the remaining members fled to a nearby mansion , the site of the Arklay Research Faclity.
Jill, along with fellow survivors Chris Redfield, Barry Burton, and Albert Wesker, assumed the mansion to be deserted. They would quickly discover the various beasts and monsters inhabiting the mansion, as well as the remains of their fallen Bravo Team compatriots. Through her cooperation with Barry, Jill was able to discover that the mansion was actually a front for a top-secret research facility owned by the Umbrella Corporation. They also came to find that Wesker was a double agent working for Umbrella and had planned the whole operation as an experiment to test out Umbrella's t-virus B.O.W's and to destroy the S.T.A.R.S. team. However, after Wesker was seemingly killed by one of his own creations, Jill and Barry escaped, along with Chris Redfield and surviving Bravo team member Rebbeca Chambers, leaving behind the ruins of the Estate.

Racoon City Incident:

After their return to Raccoon City, S.T.A.R.S. request for a full-scale investigation of Umbrella's activities was denied by their superior, Chief Brian Irons of the Racoon Police Department (RPD). With no support from the American government, Chris, Barry, Jill, and Rebecca decided to travel to Europe and investigate Umbrella's main headquarters themselves. Chris went ahead and travelled to Europe by himself by the end of August, while Barry went to Canada to relocate his family first. Jill decided to stay in Raccoon in order to investigate the whereabouts of Umbrella's Underground Facility before joining her comrades.
However, two months after the mansion incident, her investigation was ruined when Raccoon City was infected with the t-Virus. During her escape, she witnessed the death of Alpha team's pilot, Brad Vickers, at the hands of "The T-Type Nemesis", a Tyrant sent by Umbrella to assassinate the remaining S.T.A.R.S. members. Jill managed to thwart Nemesis temporarily and met with Carlos Olivera, a surviving member of the Umbrella Biohazard Counter-measure Service (U.B.C.S.) along with Nicholai Ginovaef and Mikhail Viktor. However, Mikhail gave his life protecting Jill and Carlos from Nemesis while Nicholai was presumed dead after an accident. Jill and Carlos ended up in a nearby clock tower after their cable car collided off-course. During the following battle with Nemesis, Jill was infected with the t-Virus and was taken to the clock tower's church by Carlos, where she lay there in a semi-coma.



Two days later (on the night of October 1st), Jill recovered after being administered with a serum by Carlos, and continued her search for escape. Soon afterwards, she discovered another one of Umbrella's secret research facilities hidden behind a park. In this lab, she confronted Nicholai for the last time (it seemed that she had a bounty on her head that he wished to collect), and fought with Nemesis once again. Jill successfully destroyed Nemesis with a top-secret weapon that was transported to the facility a few days earlier and managed to escape from the city in a helicopter with Carlos. As they flew away, Jill witnessed the annihilation of Raccoon City on the order of the U.S Government.


Jill would go on to become involved in various anti-Umbrella groups and activities until Umbrella's closure.

Russia:

In 2003, Jill and Chris went with an anti-B.O.W. group into Russia in search of an Umbrella base. When they arrived, they found that the bio-weapons in the facility had been released. After a battle to claim the surface, the two went down on a large cargo lift to the Umbrella base where they fought against the escaped bio-weapons.
Eventually, they made it to a laboratory containing the T.A.L.O.S-project, their mission objective being to destroy it.
After a chaotic battle, they managed to defeat it and and the team re-assembled and guarded the base in waiting for the Russian government arrival.


(this part is non-canon and made up by myself for the story)

After Russia, Jill and Chris took a long deserved vacation in the Bahamas together, during which they both declared there feelings for one another and decided that any dangers that were left to face, they would face them together....This pact brought them together closer than ever, that night would be the happiest moments of the past few years and of there lives.

Jill's Apparant Death:

After the collapse of Umbrella, rivals and terrorist groups managed to get their hands on Umbrella's projects. With the growing fear of a bio-terror holocaust in Africa, Chris and Jill joined a Bioterror Assessment group partly to locate Wesker who was revealed to be alive when Chris fought him while searching for his sister on Rockfort Island. In 2006, a tip led Chris and Jill to arrest Ozwell E. Spencer, one of the key founders of Umbrella, but when they located him he was already killed by Wesker. Chris and Jill opened fire but were easily taken down by Wesker's superhuman strength. With Wesker ready to deliver a fatal blow to Chris, Jill selflessly tackles Wesker (releasing his grasp on Chris) out the window and descended down the cliffside with Wesker firmly in her grasp.

Her body was never found and 3 months of searching after, the B.S.A.A offically declared Jill Valentine dead, errecting an empty grave in her memory...Chris still struggles to come to terms with the loss of one of the most dearest people in his life.

The Truth of Jill's Disapearance:

Jill had somehow survived the fall with Wesker, but was badly injured...Wesker took her body and gave her the treatment she needed and placed her in cryo-sleep hoping to use her in one of his latest tests as a mark of revenge....however the unexpected occured....

Wesker discovered an anomly within Jill's body a remanant of Racoon city and her infection from the T-Type Nemesis, although she was previously thought to have been completely cured...the virus had been put into a dormant state. The Cryo-sleep had re-activated the virus, which mutated into powerful anti-bodies that killed off the harmful parts of the virus, capable of outright resisting all known viruses including the T, G and Veronica virus, it also increased her rate of bodily healing expotentially.

Wesker decided to harness this power and used Jill's antibodies in his experiments and fitted her with a p-30 progentior device on her chest, the device released a powerful chemical into the bloodstream that would increase the wearers agility, speed and strength to super-human levels....as a side effect the wearer was also supsceptable to mind control....but the chemical would not last long in the body and would burn up through the bodies natural metabolism in a few minutes....The device however compensated for this by applying regular doses when the current one is near expiry....

If there is any attempt to resist, the plate is fitted with an electro-shock system, that will send out an electric shock acompanied with a fresh dose of p-30, causing the wearer great pain and once again breaking there will to whomever it may be giving the orders.

Jill's free will is completely chastised by the p-30 device and she has no control over anything she does, becoming nothing more than a pawn like a puppet on a string for new umbrella and its new head....MR A.

She is so far under the control of the p-30 device...she can barley remember much....not even the Promise she and Chris made to each other on that special night in the Bahamas together!

any knowledge of any of the Resident evil series is fine, as this will be a non-canon (losely based and not perfectly tied to the story) RP, however the reason I suggested having played RE5 before-hand, there will be some spoilers unveiled as elements of the RE5 story will be used in certain situations to help along with character and storyline advancement.

But if your not worried about spoiling if for yourself as your not intending to play RE5 or you are not too fussed about knowing certain content, then your more than welcome, the only reason for the spoiler protection, is I dont want to ruin anything for anyone that Is intending to/ or currently is the process of playing RE5.

look forward to seeing your bios, and it looks like our last special slot may have been filled by Everyone (user not a load of people obviously).

There will be one more special slot that will open later in the RP, but it will be much later on, details will follow when the time is right, for now getting subbing your bios peeps, cant have an RP without the bodies xD

Hild is around 172 cm tall and weighs about 60 kg. She has long, straight pinkish hair that reaches past her collar bone which curls slightly at the end. Her clothes consist of a light, dull brown low, zip-up turtleneck, with a white vest on top, with the middle strapped together, leving the top and bottom open. On top of the white vest is a brown leather belt below her chest. On her shoulders are two small pauldrons where she can clip on her knife. As for the lower body, she wears a knee length brown leather skirt with black skintight gym shorts underneath. The skirt has a split on the right side for more free leg movement. She has a light brown belt on her skirt where she holds the five pistol clips. Slung to the side on her waist is a maroon side pouch. It hangs at an angle. The strap is where she keeps 10 of the 36 shells for her shotgun. On her feet, she wears boots that are almost to her knees. Strapped to the boots are shin length, leather covered metal shin guards. She does not have the red scarf. On her hands are a pair of blue gloves. On her left arm, under her glove is a long black restrictor.

When in action, she wears the typical S.T.A.R.S tactical vest, except hers is white like Rebecca.

Equipment: She carries an M90 C.A.W.S shotgun 8 shot with 36 shells, carried in the holster at the back of her waist and a M6D PDW 12 shot with 5 clips, holstered on her right thigh. In addition, she has two first-aid spray and two [FONT=arial,sans-serif][SIZE=-1]AN-M14 TH3 incendiary grenades stashed in her side pouch.[/SIZE][/FONT] Clipped onto the back of her left shoulder is a KA-BAR kukri knife (far left). Instead of a S.T.A.R.S walkie talkie, she carries a single sided tactical headphone with boom mike that usually hang around her neck. Also, she carries a high powered tactical police issued torch.

Backstory: Hild was born in Raccoon city and hardly left the surrounding areas since birth. Coming from a poor family, Hild decided to become a police officer in order to stop the crimes which occurred frequently in her childhood. Through dedication, determination, skills and a bit of luck, Hild performed brilliantly in the force and was transferred to S.T.A.R.S as a result.

im joining... i saw the first 2 RE films and played 1, 2 and three back on the ps1... didnt play 4 as i felt it didnt count as a RE game... those hings are NOT zombies... i havent played 5 just in case it was along the same lines as 4.

A Black version of the usual S.T.A.R.S. bulletproof vest, black and white striped gloves and goth makeup. he has a tattoo of a dragon surrounding a yin-yang on his upper left arm.
PERSONALITY: Quirky, upbeat and sarcastic.
FIRST IMPRESSION: EMO! (but hes a goth)
JOB: worked at his dads weapon store and trained with the army cadets for 3 years and the S.T.A.R.S for 1

BACKGROUND HISTORY: when he awoke in his fathers shop he could smell the blood before he saw it. reaching into his side drawer he drew out his magnum and shouted "hiroshi? dad? mum? aroura?" he heard scuffling on the other side of his door and then a bang. then another and the door burst off its hinges. before he realised what had happened he had fired a round into the head of the 'intruder' as the body dropped into the room fayd realised it was his dad. but it didnt look like him anymore. parts of his face were missing and he smelled like he was beginning to rot. He went around the house and shop to see if he could find anything else all he could find was the bodies of his other family members and just to make sure he shot each of them in the head once. then he barricaded the door while he picked up some equipment. then he walked out into the street ready to face the world... or at least what has been left behind
 
well, i finished most of my character except the backstory. I dont know what exactly is up with the city, thus i can tmake a history for my charactor nor how she can join STARS. It was nuked wasn't it? So i can just say she was from some military group and was transferred, nor that she had lived there for a while.

Ok waited long enough, Danny is subbing a bio to take control of Sheva also, If someone doesnt sub a bio for Leon and/or Claire (who will making there way to racoon city shortly after the BSAA task force has arrive) then I'll be offering them as second characters to those active in the RP, we have all the main antagonists, we are just lacking a few protagonists, but we cannot delay the start any longer....so therefore


Claire is now taken by mandi (who's currently writing a bio) desperatley need a Leon now though come on guys and gals, I know there are leon lovers out there that would love to play as him xD

Backstory:

Early History

Chris lived with his sibling, Claire. The two became close and forged a bond that lasted for years, which was tempered with the untimely deaths of their parents in a car accident. At some time, Chris served in the United States Air Force, but later gave up a military career for a job in the Raccoon City Police Department, and eventually became a member of their elite S.T.A.R.S. unit. With time, Chris and Claire saw less and less of each other, with the former going into law-enforcement and the latter going to a university.

Mansion Incident

When Bravo team failed to return from a mission in the Arklay Mountains, the S.T.A.R.S Alpha team went in after them before being attacked by a pack of vicious dogs and forced to retreat into a mansion. Chris and Jill investigate the mansion, finding the corpses of their fellow S.T.A.R.S member and eventually, the surviving Bravo Team members Richard Aiken, Rebecca Chambers and Enrico Marini, though all but Rebecca fell. It was eventually learned that Wesker had set up his comrades to test some of the Umbrella Corporations' experiments and released the Tyrant on them in an attempt to finish them off. However, Wesker is struck down by the Tyrant and is seemingly killed. With Rebecca activating the self destruct sequence, Chris finds Jill, and the three along escape to the top platform where Brad Vickers is to pick them up. Just as Brad approaches, the Tyrant returns and attacks the trio, who destroy the Tyrant, and escape the mansion before it self-destructs.

The survivors are influenced by the player the character chooses. Though canonically Chris, Jill, Rebecca and Barry Burton survive, Barry is not seen in Chris' scenario or in the Umbrella Chronicles representation of the game.

Finding Claire

Chris Redfield returns to the series in Resident Evil: Code Veronica, where he, after receiving a message from Leon, heads to Rock Fort Island in an attempt to rescue his young sister. He soon learns that Claire isn't there, but discovers that Wesker had somehow survived their encounter in the Arklay mountains and carries a strong vendetta against Chris. After following Claire to Antarctica, he finds her in a replica of Spencer's mansion and eventually confronts Alexia Ashford, the creator of the T-Veronica Virus who had mutated to combat Weskers strength. With Claire's help Chris is able to finish her off and has a brief showdown with Wesker, which is interrupted by the destruction of the facility. Chris escapes the facility along with Claire in a fighter jet before it is destroyed.

The End of Umbrella

Afterwards, Chris focused his life towards exposing and destroying the Umbrella Corporation. He made his next appearance in the series in Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, where he fought alongside with Jill to attack an Umbrella facility located in Russia. It was there that Sergei Vladimir used Umbrella's final bio-weapon, T-A.L.O.S., in combat against Chris and Jill, resulting in its destruction. Their mission succeeded and the Umbrella Corporation began to decline within a short period of time.

After Umbrella

After the collapse of Umbrella, rivals and terrorist groups managed to get their hands on Umbrella's projects. With the growing fear of a bio-terror holocaust in Africa, Chris and Jill joined a Bioterror Assessment group partly to locate Wesker who was revealed to be alive in Resident Evil: Code Veronica. After a mission to arrest Ozwell Spencer turns into a mission to take down Wesker himself, Chris is put into a position in favor of Wesker and Jill takes matters into her own hands and tackles Wesker through a window presumably killing both.

Backstory:

Claire Meets Leon and the G-Virus

She comes to Raccoon City in search of her brother, but finds something much worse. After she is saved from nearly being eaten alive by a virus carrier, Claire and Leon S. Kennedy hatch a plan to get out Raccoon City as soon as they can. After they are separated, Claire explores the deserted police station, eventually running into the corrupt Chief Irons and Sherry Birkin, the daughter of two important Umbrella researchers, William Birkin & Annette Birkin. Claire meets Annette on at least one occasion, during which she accuses Claire of being a spy. As Sherry and Claire look for a way out of the city, they are stalked by the mutated Birkin. While inside of the sewers, Sherry and Claire are separated, during which time Sherry is found by Birkin and infected with the G-Virus. Upon reuniting, Claire attempts to find a cure for Sherry within Umbrella's underground labs. While in the laboratory, Claire runs into Annete one more time, before William arrives and fatally wounds his former wife. Before dying, Annette gives Claire the instructions for creating the G-Virus antidote, DEVIL. Soon after creating the antidote, Claire attempts to make her escape, having Leon take Sherry to an escape train before the lab self destructs. Her escape, however, is thwarted once again by Birkin, forcing her to fight the monster and incapacitate it. Claire then rushes to the train, joining Leon, and successfully administering the vaccine to Sherry. Unfortunately, Birkin, now a gigantic, amorphous blob, attacks the train, thus triggering another self-destruct sequence. Claire, Leon, and Sherry escape moments before the train explodes, destroying Birkin once and for all. Not long after their escape, Leon urges her to leave them and go search for her brother.


Claire Stranded on the Island

Three months after her escape from Raccoon City, Claire heads over to Europe to finally find her lost brother Chris. Having no luck, Claire becomes imprisoned at a small island far off in the sea. Due to her strong will to survive and to find her brother she is able to again find her way through the island once it has been attacked by an unknown enemy. Another viral outbreak happened on the island. During her attempt to escape, Claire runs into Steve Burnside, another prisoner on the island, and the two eventually join forces. During this time, Claire also encounters Alfred Ashford, who insists that Claire had led enemy forces to the base, and who then releases multiple B.O.W's to stop her. Claire also has a run-in with her brother's old rival, Albert Wesker, who decides to leave her as "bait" to get Chris to arrive at the island. As all of this happens, Claire soon finds out about Alexia Ashford, and has a supposed run-in with "her", only to be saved by Steve, who then shoots "Alexia", revealing that it is none other than Alfred. As the two find a cargo plane to escape the island, Alfred then sends out the T-078 Tyrant to deal with the two survivors, and also has the plane's auto-pilot redirected, sending the two survivors directly to Antarctica. Upon arriving at the base, Claire and Steve find that the entire facility has been infected by the t-Virus. They manage to locate an Australian research base nearby. After having one last showdown with Alfred, she and Steve use a snowmobile to escape the Australian base, but are forced to deal with Nosferatu before leaving. Things seem fine as the two head for the base, until a dying Alfred manages to awaken the REAL Alexia from stasis, who then holds them captive.



Chris Finds Claire

When Chris finally arrives at the Antarctic facility, he manages to rescue Claire, but is separated from her once again by Alexia. To make matters worse, Claire soon finds Steve, who has been infected with the t-Veronica virus, thus causing him to mutate. Claire is forced to escape from the monster, only to be nearly killed by a giant tentacle. Steve suddenly comes to his senses, and frees Claire, only to be mortally wounded in the process. As he reverts to his human form, he confesses his love to Claire, and dies by her side.

Distraught, Claire manages to give Chris instructions for initializing a self-destruct sequence, before eventually reuniting with him. After Chris kills the mutated form of Alexia once and for all, he attempts to escape with Claire, only to be interrupted by Wesker. Once their confrontation is over, Chris and Claire evacuate in a jet, determined to bring Umbrella down, once and for all.



Claire in Degeneration

Claire had joined a non-government organization called Terra Save, which campaigned against Bio-terrorism. She arrived in Harvardville Airport to meet a friend who too was part of Terra Save, but was caught up in a Bio-terrorism event herself after an outbreak of the t-virus occurred within the airport.

Stuck in the airport, Claire tried to find a way to escape with the others in her party, which included Rani Chawla, Ron Davis, and an airport employee. After calling 911 and waiting for help, a sudden scream followed by gunfire give Claire the knowledge of other survivors. Maneuvering into the hallways to find them, wielding only an Umbrella, she eventually came into contact with Leon and his party. After escaping the airport, Claire headed to WilPharma with Frederick Downing. Once there she learned that the G-Virus was being held there. As she called Leon, a time bomb set off, causing a shard of glass to embed itself within her leg severely affecting her mobility. While escaping WilPharma, Claire tried to help Leon and Angela Miller from Curtis Miller, who had mutated due to an injection of the G-virus, behind the scenes. Once Curtis was disposed of the three survivors cornered Frederick, who had been involved with the attacks in India and Harvardville, and arrested him. With the threat of any further outbreaks temporarily subdued Claire and Leon opt to meet again under more normal circumstances as Leon rushes off to his next mission.

Backstory:

About Sheva

Sheva is an agent with the B.S.A.A. West African Branch. She is assigned to the current mission to assist Chris Redfield, who is unfamiliar with the area. A versatile fighter with extensive experience, her ability to use firearms is on par with Chris. Her highly conditioned body allows her to pull off physical attacks that Chris could never do.

At the age of 8, Sheva’s parents died in what appeared to be a factory accident. She later joined an anti-government guerrilla group where she learned that what happened to her parents was much more than a simple accident. The factory was the location of a final test of one of Umbrella's many B.O.W.'s. With the help of the government's army, Umbrella erased Sheva's village and its inhabitants once the test was complete.

Sheva remained with the guerrillas through her childhood. She was 15 when she was contacted by American operatives to stop Umbrella from selling a B.O.W. to the guerrillas. With Sheva's help, the operatives stopped the deal and apprehended the Umbrella salesman. The man who initially contacted Sheva offered her a chance to start her life again in America. Sheva accepted. Within months, Sheva was speaking English like a native and enrolled in a university two years later. After graduation, her benefactor suggested she join the B.S.A.A. While Umbrella had dissolved years before this, Sheva's hatred of Umbrella and all others like them led her to join the B.S.A.A. Sheva was assigned to Josh Stone's unit for eight months for training. Upon completion of her training, B.S.A.A. chose her to become an agent.

+ Backstory:
A conservative man with a strong sense of justice and the duty to protect the weak. Leon, at the age of 21, was assigned to work for the Racoon City Police Department (R.P.D.) in their Select Police Force (S.P.F.) division after graduating from the police academy. He arrived at Raccoon City on September 29, 1998, a few days later than he was scheduled to.

~ Raccoon City Incident
On September 29, Leon went to Raccoon City for his assignment, entering through a highway that was seemingly abandoned by the U.S. Military, who were to blockade the area. When he arrived, the majority of the city's police officers were already dead and most of the citizens had already turned into zombies. After his first encounter with the living dead, Leon met with another survivor, Claire Redfield, who had arrived in the city in search of her missing brother, Chris. Together, Leon and Claire decided to seek refuge within the R.P.D.'s headquarters, but after arriving there, they decide to search for a way out of the city separately.

During his probe of the R.P.D. precinct, Leon meets another survivor named Ada Wong, a woman who claimed she was looking for her missing boyfriend. Together, they found a secret entrance within the sewer leading to one of Umbrella's secret facilities. Ada is mortally wounded (first, by a mutated William Birkin's claw and later, by a T-103 Tyrant (see: Canon in Resident Evil and Leon discovers that Ada was a spy working for Umbrella's undisclosed competitor. However, at the near end, a mysterious figure (with Ada's voice and silhouette) helps Leon (or Claire) by giving them a rocket launcher to help defeat the Tyrant. Leon is reunited with Claire and the two (along with William Birkin's daughter, Sherry) make their escape through a secret railway and then escape the train, leaving the mutated Birkin to be destroyed in the self-destruct sequence.

In December of 1998, after the incident, Claire sets out to Europe to continue her search for Chris, while Leon remains in the U.S. He makes an undisclosed deal with the U.S. Government for Sherry's safety and, after that, joined an anti-Umbrella task force, participating in numerous classified missions until Umbrella's operations were shut down by the government. During one mission, he provided Claire's whereabouts to her brother, Chris, after receiving an e-mail message from her. One month prior, he also sends Ark Thompson out to investigate Umbrella's facilities on Sheena Island.

~ Starlight
Sometime in 2000, Leon, now a member of an underground anti-Umbrella organization, was sent to eliminate a prototype B.O.W. that was believed to be among the passengers and crew of the luxury ocean cruiser, the Starlight. Upon his arrival, Leon discovered that there had been a t-Virus outbreak on board. At some point, Leon met a young survivor named Lucia and fought a good candidate for the B.O.W.: a large, grey humanoid who could produce tentacles from its abdomen and transform into an amoeba. After 24 hours without contact, fellow operative Barry Burton was sent to find Leon. He was eventually found unconscious. After he and Barry saved Lucia from the B.O.W. again, Barry left Lucia with Leon. When they saw Barry on the security camera talking to Umbrella, who had contacted him on the way there, they found him and Leon was seemingly betrayed by Barry. While Barry and Lucia were on an Umbrella-owned submarine, Leon killed the B.O.W., who was trying to destroy the ship's fuel converter, by blowing him into the steam ducts. Afterwords, Barry and Lucia found Leon. In the end, Leon, along with Barry and Lucia, killed the real B.O.W., a fully-grown parasite that had been removed from Lucia's body, with a hail of gunfire, but not before Leon was seemingly infected by the B.O.W. A small cut on his neck was bleeding green blood.

~ Post-Umbrella
With Umbrella gone, Leon, in remembrance of the people of Raccoon City, vows to protect the people and to make sure fiendish groups like Umbrella never have their way. He is apparently noticed by the US Government for his already considerable talent and is recruited into its ranks. While receiving special training for a top-secret government organization working directly under the U.S. president, Leon befriends another agent named Jack Krauser. Krauser is reportedly killed in a helicopter crash sometime in 2002. Through harsh training, pushing himself to the limit, Leon has changed from hapless rookie to one of the top agents in the world.

~ Los Illuminados Incident
In 2004, a 27-year-old Leon was assigned to a top-secret organization under the direct control of the President of the United States. He is assigned to guard President Graham's family, but when the President's daughter, Ashley Graham, is kidnapped, Leon's first mission is to track her down. Information gathered pointed to the kidnappers being located in a remote area of Spain. Leon investigates on his own, along with two members of the local police. Unfortunately, it seems something bizarre has happened to the local townsfolk and after the two officers are promptly killed, Leon finds himself relying on his skills once again in a deadly fight for survival. Leon learns from his superiors that the perpetrators are a group called "Los Illuminados" (from Spanish, meaning "The Enlightened"), a religious cult led by a man named Osmund Saddler. This cult uses a mysterious parasitic organism known as "las Plagas" (Spanish for "the Plagues") to take control of the local townsfolk, as well as many others around the area, such as a group of Mercenaries. Although a seemingly hopeless situation, the fanatical cult finds the formidable Leon to be more than they bargained for as he foils attempt after attempt to kill him. During the course of his mission, Leon is helped by Luis Sera, a man who is revealed to be a researcher who used to work for Saddler, but betrayed him. Leon also once again has a chance encounter with Ada, who is also involved in this incident. She provides assistance to Leon, but has a fight of her own to battle out, as well. Leon is assisted by Ingrid Hunnigan, an information analyst and fellow government official via a communicator. As Leon progresses, however, he finds the transmission hijacked by the cult and he is forced to fend for himself.

Leon eventually finds Ashley in a church and he becomes responsible for her safety as the two make their way around Los Illuminados-controlled area. It is revealed, however, that both Leon and Ashley have been injected with the Plagas and are now in a race against time to find a cure for this before they are forever turned into Saddler's slaves. Acquiring weapons from a mysterious merchant, Leon manages to fight his way through many harrowing perils within the local village and a mysterious Castle run by the cult. He eventually fights against two of Saddler's underlings, village chief Bitores Mendez and the Castle's castellan, Ramon Salazar. Leon also confronts his former comrade, Jack Krauser, who was now working as a double agent for both a mystery party and Saddler. It is revealed to the player (but not Leon, necessarily) that this mysterious third player in the conflict is none other than Albert Wesker, whom Ada is also working for. Unknown to Leon, a secret battle is being waged behind the scenes, which is explored in Ada's unlockable scenerio, "Separate Ways". Eventually, Ashley is abducted and Leon must race against time to rescue her before her Plaga fully develops, not to mention his own. With continued support from Ada, Leon fights his way through a local military base, where Saddler and the cult have taken refuge. Fighting against both a deadly enemy and the enemy within, this battle tests all of Leon's strength and skill. Leon fights against Krauser for the last time and eventually saves Ashley and himself after removing Las Plagas from within them by use of a special radiation machine developed by Luis late during his mission. Afterwards, Leon battles Saddler in his true form and, with Ada's help (who provides him with a specialized rocket launcher), is able to put an end to him and his plot.

After the battle, Ada takes the Plagas sample from Leon at gunpoint and makes her getaway, but gives Leon and Ashley a means to escape, as well, via a jet-ski. Ashley invites Leon to her residence for "overtime", but Leon politely declines. Despite this turn of events, after completing his mission, he talks with Hunnigan, who finally manages to re-establish contact. He compliments her on her appearance (she isn't wearing any glasses at this point) and lightly flirts with her by asking for her number, to which she reminds him that he's "still on duty". Upon being left in the dust by a second woman, Leon can only reply with an amused sigh, "...story of my life."

~ Harvardville and WilPharma
In 2005, WilPharma's head of R&D released the t-Virus in a Harvardville Airport Terminal. The building was locked down and the government sent in the marines along with the Special Response Team to clear out the Zombies.

Leon was selected by the president to take charge of the S.R.T. due to his experience. Under his leadership and advice, they learned how to effectively kill the zombies and rescued five survivors including Claire Redfield.

After saving them, Leon was involved in the fight with Curtis Miller, the Marines, and Angela Miller at WilPharma. He was able to save Angela and kill the G-virus-infected Curtis Miller. At the end, he, Claire, and Angela exposed Frederic Downing for escaping Raccoon City with the t-Virus and G-virus sample, the t-virus incident at the airport, and setting a time bomb in the WilPharma building in order to secretly sell the last of the G-virus data, t-virus along with its vaccine, and the G-virus.

As the incident comes to a close, Leon is called in for yet another mission. He and Claire part ways, with the two hoping that they will each meet again someday under far more "normal" circumstances. ... Which seems will never happen.

Bio: Born to African-American parents, Marcus recieved high grades in his school work. After graduating high school, he joined the Marine Corps, where he served as a demolitions expert and a biological warfare expert for USMC Force Recon. Eventually Marcus's exploits in Iraq and Afghanistan caught the eye of John Clark, then-director for the international counterterror task force, RAINBOW, where he became a member 2006-2009, it was during his missions with RAINBOW that he became involved in the Zombie meanace, where he was infected by a modified version of the T-virus in a mission over the Acklay Mountains to the point where he barely can cling on to humanity. His anguish led him to battle Rebecca Chambers and lost. Swearing revenge on Rebecca for turning him into a monster, he made his way to Racoon city, desgised as a citizen for the city, in an attempt to find a cure to his "monsterous form."
