Stupid boring side quest. I only hate it because (stupid as this sounds) when I'm put on the spot I have trouble with my left and right, I'm ok with the arrow keys but the damn shoulder ones fuck me right up

I swear I was at it for about 3 or 4 hours. On the plus side I got the hang of said shoulder buttons, that damn electrum I got better be worth it

Fishing is just as boring in game than it is in RL :stare:

It better be damn worth it when I get to finish it off...
 
It is quite annoying, but on the plus side there aren't that many different combinations.

You can get some decent loot/items from it, not to mention the main thing that you're going for (won't say what it is, even in a spoiler tag just incase temptation gets the better of you if you don't already know)

But they aren't really the best of items.
 
I prefer RL fishing least that way I get some food outta it as opposed to sitting in a chair fishing on a game and wondering why I have yet to leave that addiction and get some food.

yeah I'm stuck on fishing right now. I think I'll just stop playing the game cause its hard.
 
I never completed this either. I mean I went and did the fishing upstream and downstream, and sidestream, whatever. I just wanted my damn medal or whatever I got for doing this.

I think i stopped at the point where you have to find different colored rocks or pebbles or whatever at little row-boats you can find around the World Map.
 
I never even attempted to do the fishing side quest and from the sounds of it, that was a good choice
 
Ive just done the fannying around to get the other clues with my coloured bottles. after doing this there is no way I'm doin gthat 100 tier racing bollocks. TWO tedius sidequests like that in one game can sook me dry

I just hope the medal is worth it, all I need to do now is complete the fishing aspect of it, Im far too close to give up now xD

You have to talk to the chap fishing in Balfonheim, he will waffle on about rods for abit, then you have to wander down tio the entrance of the aero drome, you dion't need to go in, wander back to where he was fishing and steal his rod

THEN you need to go to the dalamasca westersand....or estersand.... I ge tthe places confused -__- Anyway, talk to the dude in the boat (not the boy, the other dude) And you can go fishing with him :monster:
 
You get an elecrrothingy for collecting 99 bottles

200 gil for each precious (or whatever)fish

100 fior delicious fish

10 for normal fish

Once you have completed the quest you get some sort of medal which you need for making the wrym hero blade or some shit. Whether it's worth it or not, i don't know xD
 
Once the sidequest is completed, you can get Adamantite(sp?) as a prize, so if you've already killed the rare game turtle that you have to steal it off, you can still get the loot. You need it for the Toursenol if I remember rightly.

Are you still following the clues from the bottles?

I've got the medal for killing Yiazmat and I think I got the other medal. Ok, I must do this. >_>
 
It's LuShang's Badge. You find it in the stomach of the King of the Nebra, in the Den of the River Lord location. It's the only one you encounter until you correctly input the combo 9 times in a row. If I remember correctly it's 10 buttons. Good luck...
BUT, it's worth it for this awesome Wyrmhero Blade I got! Now I can decimate Giza Bunnies! :(
 
Killing that stupd King Nebra swine was awful. My fingers wouldm't move fast enough...I did it eventually, not without tantryum though, I had to actually input the buttons without looking at the screen becasue it was making me flustered. Most I got was 3 in a row I think. Other than that it wa one or none...I suck at this stuff. Jsut glad I finally did it.... >_>
