Final Fantasy XIII Wins German MTV Award 2008.

Sure it's only an MTV award and sure it was only awarded the "Do Believe The Hype" award. But it's an award nonetheless. (:
Final Fantasy XIII had to fend off competition from; Resident Evil 5, Duke Nukem Forever, Diablo 3 and Prince of Persia to be achieve the "Do Believe The Hype" award.

This only goes to show that the hype around FFXIII still exists 2 years after it was announced for development, however, Yoshinori Kitase, the producer of Final Fantasy XIII was unfortunately not able to receive the award in person and left a video message as he could not be drawn away from Square Enix studios in Japan as, "Final Fantasy XIII is at a very important stage in it's development.

Christ... and I thought MTV awards were absolutely pointless in normal categories. It's good to see that people are showing some love for Final Fantasy but this means nothing to me. I think I'm at the point as a gamer that hype really does nothing for me anymore. Even back when the new generation of consoles was coming out, I couldn't helped but get psyched and buy a 360 at release. Now, I just don't see the point. It's not going to do anything for me until it's actually out so I have a hard time getting excited over it until its here.

How ironic will it be if there is a collective sigh of dissapointment when the game is actually released. I for one, m not falling for the hype OR the award for it, especially after XII ....lol

Anyway, I DO hope to be proved wrong....honest
