Actually, some of it gets quite emotional.

(Lulz at my cleverness...)

___________

A day goes by and things change forever,
I guess the old you is gone and replaced by the new,
Can't say I've enjoyed the change,
But I suppose there isn't much I can do.

You will be you,
And change how you will,
But my memories will remain of a better time,
Of a wonderful yesterday.

It takes a long time to go back to yesterday,
I guess we should start living in today and for tomorrow,
But that won't stop me from missing my yesterday,
And things that were better than now can never be.

A bond bound by iron,
A triangle of unblemished love torn asunder,
And by the hearts of all,
Broke.

Iron can mend, oh yes it can,
But it's never as strong as yesterday,
For iron broken once before,
Is never as strong today.

_______________

As silence crept across the land,
The snow drifting lazily from above,
We should all be snuggling close together by the fire,
Smiles splayed across our rosy cheeks,
And contented sighs escaping our slightly parsed lips.

Take my hand friend,
I'll lead you to the fire.
Away from the cold of the loneliness,
And into the warmth of friendship we so desire.

A call for you,
Will you answer it?
It is with hope in all our hearts you shall,
And with an answer of simple hello,
You'll spark a fire to warm the coldest nights,
And bring friendship to those in need.

Friend? Friend, can you hear me?
I have called for you,
Will you answer?
The snow is falling,
And silence is creeping...
Friend, will you answer me and say hello?

Please friend,
Bring me to the fire that we might be close,
And close our eyes with contended sighs,
And away the coldness will go,
Replaced by love,
And gone will be the despair,
Spring shall reign again.

Tell me what ya thinkkkk.
