I can understand it for smaller shows, but for something like The Walking Dead it just doesn't make sense. People will watch it anyway, even if it's on catch-up rather than live. It probably has something to do with money.

Oh me too, it always feels like they're building and building and building to a grand event (which they usually do), then the first few episodes afterwards it's always a bit slow until suddenly something big happens in the very last episode.
It's all to do with American schedules. TV shows have to be scheduled around the football season to keep viewing figures as high as possible. It's gay

How gruesome was Noah's death

I was expecting a massive herd to attack the walls or something, it seemed like that was what it had been building to in the previous few episodes.

I was a little let down by the finale. It was a good episode, but it felt more like a second last episode, like there was something else bigger to come after it.
