What is going on with G-Bike???

Any word on the status of this game? I know it was out in JP for about a year and had alot of problems so it was "shut down". On the offical site it makes it seem like its still coming stateside with a TBD release date. Are they still working on it? I've been wanting to play this for quite some time now

Who knows. I put it up there with that announced 3DS Chocobo Racing game that also never really saw the light of day (anywhere in fact. It was just cancelled quietly) and the defunct Final Fantasy Agito mobile/Vita game that they shut down in favour of Type-0 Online for Asian markets.

Given how easy it should have been to make an instant short-term success out of a FFVII motorbike minigame on mobile platforms, I wonder what sort of catastrophic failure occurred to have it shut down because it allegedly wasn't up to snuff.
