uh, is that a typo by an chance? Or a translation error?

I just bought it in Albrook's Weapon shop. I thought the GBA version is supposed to be more of an accurate translation, so thats gone out the window if its a typo and/or error haha

I got the rom last night with thanks to a very helpfull member here Its great but some of the new translation is wank.
For example, and you may want to sit down for this: Son of a submariner is now Son of a.....SANDWORM!!!! damn it to hell!

Exactly. There quite the few changes like that im not a fan of atm. However the Esper 'Stray' has now been renamed 'Cait Sith'!

CAIT SITH! Ugh I really don't like that! I like Cait Sith and all but why do they have to throw him into every final fantasy now! It just looks odd that he is now sort of in VI. Is it now a Cait Sith cat that gets summoned now?

Its been awhile since I summoned Stray on the older ones, maybe I'll check later....
But Stray kinda looks like Cait Sith anyways right? does on this but not identical to VII.
Tritoch has been renamed to something rather longer, can't spell it right now tho. I've seen people dislike that change but I quite like it actually. and Atma has been reverted back to Ultima like it original should have been in the enlish versions.

I think that square forgot that Caith Sith was a traitor and a spy in VII...

Its true tho, I never use Cait Sith. Useless basterd.
I once used him to beat Ruby Weapon... with out using KOTR.
The battle went pretty fast too. I want to use Aeris sometime to do the same but I'd need gameshark first.

Caith Sith is a cat in scottish folklore or sommit like that, so maybe its not meant to be a direct referance to the fat marsh mellow one in VII.
Problem is is that Cait Sith is the name of a character in another game.
It would be like renaming one of espers Cloud. It just wouldn't work.
