The Ceglings were trick or treating when they heard sinister laughter from within a creepy cottage down the lane.
At that moment, a startled ghost-seeker by the name of Pomek Kuporah stumbled dramatically out of the building. Panting and convulsing, he spoke in a voice which was not quite his own.

“Leeaaaavvve! Wooooooo! GOOOOOOoooO!”

Pomek then collapsed to the ground, holding his head in a classically tragic pose as he became himself again. Weakly, he pulled some ghost traps from his jacket and tossed them towards the ceglings.

“It is now up to you, kupo! The energy levels are too real for me here! Grab them all and do a better job than I!”

The ceglings looked at each other nervously. Lightning struck the house violently and the doors were thrust open. Carpet unrolled like a tongue from the mouth of the hungry house, and it licked the ceglings into the building's musty interior.

There’s only one way out of this! Let’s clear this house of ghosts!

Welcome to our most frightening CEG event so far!
If you are unsure what CEG events are or what a cegling is, see here.

Rules:
Guess where the ghosts are hiding in the house and control cegling creatures to trap them.
Each player can move once with one cegling per turn.
You do not need to control the same cegling for each turn.



There are a couple of moves at your disposal. Click the spoiler tags for some short details.
Locate/trap:

Spoiler: This is your basic move.

Simply type something like:
[Cegling name] thinks there might be a ghost in [object name / location] and uses their trap.

If you guess the exact location of a ghost then you shall trap it without any rolls of dice. If you are close but not quite there, I shall roll a die to determine your success.

While there are no limits to the number of ghosts each cegling can trap, each time a cegling traps a ghost their trap needs to recharge for one whole turn. Simply use another cegling for this turn, or skip.
If this advice is disregarded then the trap could overload and the captured ghost might escape!

Spook steal:

Spoiler: This move is for the cheekier ceglings (and their handlers).

Steal a ghost from another cegling.

Simply type something like:
[Cegling name] steals [name of ghost] from [name of Cegling].

This shall sneakily cipher ghosts from rival traps and add them to your own!
Every ghost is a unique character and you might decide that your favourite cegling would rather own a particular ghost than that other cegling across the hall.

At the end of every turn a die shall be rolled and if it lands on a six then a ghost will be released from a trap at random.

Possession:
If a cegling fails to trap a ghost during a roll (if not in the exact location) and the die rolls 6 then the cegling will become possessed by this ghost. For the next turn the cegling will work for the ghosts and shall free the nearest trapped ghost to the possessed cegling.

Escaping ghosts will change their location in the house.


Participation?
You do not need to be a parent of a cegling in order to participate in this game. All human participants will receive rewards, but clearly the parents shall benefit the most from this game as all parents (whether participating or not) shall accrue rewards for the brave endeavors of their children. The parents of the cegling/s who win shall receive better prizes.

The prizes will be determined at a later date.

Chocobuncle after hearing many a tales and talks about a demonic satan possessed pikachu thinks this one might be possessed and decides to use his trap

Deciding to start at the most obvious spot Cabroot sets one of her traps for a ghost in the toilet!

 

[Mitsuki]

Purrsephone heads to the left wing and notices the Timber Maniacs Issue 3 magazine. She reads the whole magazine for a couple hours, then decides to use her ghost trap!

(Does she get a bonus for reading through the whole material?)

 

[Miko]

Shelby Goldenrod thinks there is something suspicious about the mounted deer head above the fireplace and decides to set a trap!

If Tohm (the Chickenosaurus) knows anything about phantom spirits, it's that there's typically a lot of ectoplasm involved. Hey, no one said ghosts can't get jiggly under the sheets as well! So where better to set his trap than on the four-poster bed, so long as the short little squirt can even reach above the mattress.

Angry Beard hovers over the dinner table, sets his trap, and lifts the cloche. With this, he will either catch a ghost, or nom some din din. If not... he may get very very angry...

 

[The Witch]

Dinny Sore adjusted his fedora to reveal his face, a similar camera shot to the one seen in the Titanic when Rose makes her entrance. You know the one. Dinny took a long look around the home. It was so much bigger than the home he grew up in. “Wow-za, take a look at dis. Yous guys even got a fiuh-place! Nuttin’ like dis back in tha motherland.” He was too young to remember the motherland but he had to say it because it just felt right.

The home was so stunning he nearly forgot about the baked ziti he had in hand. “Oh yeah, I got a trap for yous ghosts. Jus yous wait an’ see. Hehehe.” That goblin of a laugh rivaled Joe Pesci’s.

After using his big meaty legs to hobble to the fireplace, he placed down the bowl of baked ziti as bait for the ghost that he knew was there. “When dis ghost eats my ma’s baked ziti,” he aimed the tommy-gun at the spot of the trap and snickered. “BANG. Ghost’ll be good as dead. Hehehe.”

Using a random number generator, this determines that Barret Ghost has escaped back into the room.

The position of Barret Ghost will not carry into the next round. He shall hide somewhere new...

Lameow the...*sigh* Hot Cat trundles across the house on his hotdog...motor vehicle? What is that? Is his body part of the sausage? Or are his legs just wedged in between the sausage and the hotdog bun? How is that hotdog moving? Does it bounce? Does it actually have wheels that I can't see?

Oh well, that's beside the point.

As Lameow has inherited the dashing good looks of a certain Emperor Tiberius, he is overly vain as a result and would pridefully exhibit himself in front of cameras like he's the most photogenic object since the advent of the camera. And where better to gaze adoringly at his visage than what appears to be a prominent table mirror in the bedroom? If there's a phantom in there with the same idea, consider it a bonus, though Lameow highly doubts that there exists a spectre as handsome as he.

Ghost trappings!
uses his trap on the sink in the kitchen. In the soup bowl waiting to be washed there stirs a playful and pervy spirit!

teases the octopus and traps Ultros Ghost!

feels the unmistakable tickle of an oglop on her face! Thankfully, the trap activates and captures Oglop Ghost!
Let's hope the experience translates into a happier dream than the grim reality of her situation...

searches the kitchen for the fridge. Unfortunately, while there is an oven, cupboards and drawers, the foolish interior designer neglected to add a refrigerator.

These ghosts must chill their food purely by spooking them!

Regardless, lays his trap within the kitchen area.

Unfortunately didn't recharge his trap by sitting out a turn since capturing the Bomb Ghost!
The trap has overloaded and the Bomb Ghost has burst free!

The Bomb Ghost shall now float to a new location.

looks in the mirror. Seeing in herself the fairest of them all and admiring her lovely eyes, she leans forward to kiss the mirror. After five minutes of intense smooching, her eyes open to a phantom mimic emerging from the mirror where her own face had thrived mere moments ago.

Everything does is copied, but thankfully the Gogo Ghost does not possess a trap and merely taps the chest of drawers before being sucked into the void.

I suspect she moves like the Lamia will when imagined as a serpent below the waist. The mustard on the hot dog aspect works a bit like slug slime, perhaps.
Whether the hot dog is part of her body or simply a costume is up for debate... Those who get close rarely live to tell the tale!
