OK, I am officially stuck

Well, there isn't a help thread for FFX, so I have to post my problem in an individual thread. Anyways, I already met Rikku. And the meanie Al Bhed people are making me work (XD), so I have to go with Rikku to find that...thing. I can't even remember what it was I've been stuck for so long. So, I've been swimming around in the water, diving, everything. I've killed about a thousand of those fish things trying to figure out what to do. I've gotten to that other screen where it's a little farther down, BUT I'M NOT ABLE TO DO ANYTHING THERE!

*cough* anyway, somebody please help!
