It looks like Kaine is working her charm on Nier’s sales. According to multiple local reports, Nier Replicant for the PlayStation 3 is sold out in Japan. Square Enix have promised a new shipment will be arriving over the weekend to appease fans.

The interesting things is, while Nier Gestalt for the Xbox 360 is still available, the less effeminate version of the game isn’t easy to find either. This could likely be because fewer copies of Gestalt were shipped in the first place.

Watching Nier on the sales charts should give us something to look forward to…although, we’re not entirely certain if Media-Create operate during Golden Week, which begins this Thursday.

Kaine is certainly charming, indeed...

Anyways, I absolutely love this game, and I'm glad to see its doing so well. Quite a few good RPGs that have come out recently seem to faded into obscurity somewhat. Its good to see NIER is making a little headway!

It's good to see that Nier is selling so well in Japan. It's not your conventional kind of JRPG, so it's nice to see that genre blending can produce popular results as well.

Now I want to see how it's selling in the west with the Gestalt version as our default. From what I've seen in terms of gameplay, it looks alright actually. It's nothing spectacular or groundbreaking - but I'll consider it if it gets cheaper.
