New Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XIII Scans [1/25]

The scans for XIV are nice. However, we really hope that the map scans are dungeon maps. Because they look kind of linear, and we're not touching a linear MMO. 
The scans with the maps are for FFXIII, not FFXIV, Tsukianei.

The linearity of the map doesn't seem to bother me much, but I'll have to see what it feels like in-game before I go saying that I don't mind it. These just made me excited for FFXIII's release again D:

Hmm, I really see what they mean when they say the maps are extremely linear. All the FFXIII maps I see are linear, even the one with a wide, open area with the linear branches going off it to dead ends (no doubt with treasure at the end).
FFXIV will not be linear. It will probably be just like FFXI and other MMORPGs. You'll probably be able to explore most of Eorzea right off the bat.

Whew, we were kind of scared there for a minute. We hate linearity, but we could play a linear game here and there. However, a linear MMO would be... Terrible. O_O
