if you not seen, today netflix has launched in the UK and Ireland, with a free month trial and after that it only £5.99 a month for unlimited streaming

from what I read the films and tv shows that are on there are pretty good, god their even got anime :yay:

soooo what do you guys think and are u happy that americans can now not say that they are the only people who got it XD
 
Ill be going for his without any doubt. Lovefilm is great but from what i hear netflix is miles better. Looking forward to it :ryan:
 
Muh I don't think it'd be that much better than Lovefilm, and Simon Pegg doesn't do the voice for their ads

Then again I have no idea why I would pay for any of those services when I can get them for free
 
Lovefilm doesnt have a good enough selection of films to stream. Whilst you can rent almost any film from them by post im not interested in that. When i wanna watch a film, i wanna watch it there and then. Not wait 3 days for it to arrive, watch it, return it. Id rather buy the film myself and keep it for further use.

Also whilst yes, i could easily get any film on netflix for free i prefer the convenience of these apps. Theyre on my ps3 and i can stream them all in HD to my tv. Worth the small monthly fee in my eyes.

I was actually slightly dissapointed at the selection tbh. Theres a lot of bollywood rubbish which il never watch and there arent many recent films. Not that i dont like older films because i do but the majority of them seem to be very below average flicks.
 
same here... film wise their not that great, but tv shows on the other hand their pretty good, their got south park :D sooo i can spend my night times watching that :P also their got some old cartoons which are awesome from when i was a kid, the first series of beyblade and the sonic the hedgehog program from 1993 :D also the FIRST SERIES OF POWER RANGERS man i put that on just to listen to the theme song

 
a few film distributors (most notably warner bros.) are opposed to netflix, so they have a time limit set on their releases before netflix are allowed to release them. i know warner recently upped that to something like 7 weeks
