I am a new member here,
my name is Randis and i would love to share my FF Collection with you guys.

A bit about myself:

I am 33 and i am work in the game development industry as an Art Director and concept artist.
Feel free to check out some of my work on my studio site
www.hd-fortress.com

My hobbie (video games) is closely connected to my work and i also collect games.
I collect all sorts of games and systems, from neogeo to X68000.
some of my colelction themes are, mario related games, gradius series, Final Fantasy, Makaimura.
Today however i will only show my Final Fantasy Collection.

You can also see a lot of it on my FF FB page:
http://www.facebook.com/FinalFantasyCollection
I hope you enjoy it!

Maybe some of you remember the 2 FF wallpapers i painted a while ago.

Today i would like to show off my Final Fantasy Collection :)

On a side note, i do not collect FF figurines and model-kits and i do not collect OSTs and guidebooks much, so you will not see too many of those.

Also while relocating from europe to asia some of my items got lost or damaged :(
and some i am still searching as they are rare and hard to come by.
This is not a complete collection, it is still ongoing.

i hope you enjoy

cheers
Randis

Wow! After looking at the other posts you just created, I have to say that is quite a perfect collection already! It must have taken tremendous effort (and money) to obtain all of them! Salutes to you! And you have a beautiful fiancee. You should really be very proud of yourself.

*Mindblown*

Thank you very much!
I am a big FF fan since my early childhood, this collection has a huge personal value for me

Uouh!!! Awsome collection. I hope someday I will have a collection atleast a quarter as big as yours XD. Im not into buying stuff such as promotional items, final fantasy themed handhelds but I have as an objective to collect all the games and by this I mean having a copy of each game not all versions and the OST. Nevertheless just like Uncle Ulty said Im mindblown.

Holy crap. I mean :holyshit:
I could just wander around your house for a few years. That collection is AMAZING! I had no idea about some of that stuff.
MAD jealous.

I am happy to see Mystic Quest included. ;)

I am also very much mind blown like Ulty. There are a few items there I saw and regret not nabbing while available. Oh well, though!

Dear lord....how is that even possible? :gasp:

Amazing collection, man. I wish I had a fraction of all of that.

:wtf: And I was told I had a lot off FF stuff! You probably have a room just for your FF stuff!
I wanna live in that room!

Final Fantasy Adventure (USA) and Mystic Quest (EU) for Gameboy were released in Japan as Seiken (Final Fantasy Gaiden) you can see it as Secret of Mana 1.
The other Final Fantasy Titles for gameboy are actually SaGa games in Japan.
Square choose to rename them because none of the Saga Games for snes were localized outside of Japan, egro unknown so they used the FF brand to sell it.
Later on Saga Frontier, Saga frontier 2 and Unlimited were the only Saga Titles released outside of Japan under the original name.

There is a lot of confusion with Square games, all the secret of mana games were renamed, Seiken densetsu 2 became secret of Mana 1 because the first part
(for GB) was named Final Fantasy Adventure.
Seiken Densetzu 3 for snes never was released outside of Japan (all the copies on ebay are fanmade bootlegs) Seiken Densetsu 4 came out as Dawn of Mana,
other than that onlu Sword of Mana, children of mana and Heroes on Mana were released outside Japan, leaving Seiken Densetsu Friend of Mana unreleased.
for NES only FF I came out, II and III were not released , probably because the first one did not perform too well, for that reason IV for snes was named II in usa,
V was skipped and VI was released as III.
