Hey there folks, welcome to my new let's play: Resident Evil: Code Veronica X! This was intended to be the original Resident Evil 3 from what I remember, but they changed it for Nemesis. Still, this game is completely canon and is quite possibly the best of the classic resi games. Loads of different locations, great villains, amazing music, and my favourite character of the resi protagonists: Claire Redfield. She has already escaped Raccoon City...I wonder if she can escape from this prison island? It's certainly the toughest Resident Evil game...so it's quite possible that there will be plenty of deaths. Don't worry though, they'll be cut out and all that just for your convenience.

Anyways, this is gonna be played on the Gamecube, so it's licensed by Nintendo. CVX is made by Capcom...the only part of this series that's made by me is my playing and commentary :)

If anyone would like to know a bit more about my last playthrough of a classic resi game, then here's a link to a resi wiki:

And finally, the opening to CVX (Code Veronica X):

Hope to see you around for this series! :D

Episode 1: Claire's 2nd Survival Attempt

http://youtu.be/4F7jO3IFkj8

Hey folks, this series is gonna be exciting! I love this game so much, and it gives loooads to talk about throughout, so it's hopefully gonna be much better than the Nemesis playthrough.

Naturally, this episode is all about the opening, meeting the prison guard, learning some of the basics, meeting Steve, obtaining 2 new weapons (although one is only sorta temporary) and finally we get ourselves the Hawk Emblem, which will be useful a little bit later. Finally we press a switch, which ends the episode!
Oh, we also call for Chris...or is it Leon? Confusions :p

It may be a bumpy ride, but we can do it folks! We can do it!

Enjoy! :D

Episode 2 - Fire! Metal! Military! Palace!

http://youtu.be/O3zP8zMfGVM

Hey folks, it's time to investigate further and discover the military training facility, which gives us a bit of a shock towards the end...worth it for the bow gun though! Next we head on over to another new area: the Palace (my favourite place in the game...possibly).

Along the way, we get a fire extinguisher though (which we use) and make ourselves a metal detector-proof alloy to make a new hawk emblem. Finally, we find an ID Card, ready to use it in the next episode!

Thanks for watching! :)

Episode 3 - Ripping Off Dragonfly Wings

http://youtu.be/SGLa0VWwQIk

Hey there folks, this episode has us explore the palace a bit more, and it includes my favourite cutscene from Resi. Ripping wings off dragonflies has never been so much fun! We also save Steve from over-heating to death and meet one half of the twins: Alfred Ashford. Finally, we explore as much of a new area as we can for now, and that's the underwater facility (may not be the actual name ;) ).

The important items found within this episode are: ID Card, Steering Wheel, Navy Proof, Sidepack, Silver Biohazard Card.

Thanks for watching so far :D

Episode 4 - Troublesome Fathers

http://youtu.be/wvdM2lGqHe0

Hello there fellow peoples, this episode has quite a bit going on yet again. We meet a new optional boss, fight our first boss (or is it a mini-boss?); bandersnatches are so much fun. We also get the gold lugars off Steve, and also get to control him for a bit. The rest of the episode is pretty much cinematics. Poor Steve :'( .

PS we trade the lighter for a lockpick ;)

See you in the next episode? :)

Episode 5 - Hanging Dolls

http://youtu.be/TvpWUNxOLW8

Hey there folks, this episode is a little bit shorter, but it gets all of the Ashford Private Residence done (or as much as can be done for now) as well as all the doors in the Palace that require the silver key. We also meet Alexia Ashford for the first time...best villain ever incoming :)

See you in the next episode! :)

Episode 6 - Skeletons In Frames

http://youtu.be/09ioGKlYCPY

Hey there folks, this episode is full of the military facility. It's quite a confusing part, but we get through it easy enough this time around.

Items found/used this episode: Silver Biohazard Card, Blue Biohazard Card, Eagle Plate x2, Skeleton Picture, Gold Key.

See you in the next episode when we head back to the Palace and check out the last room! :D

Episode 7 - The Torture Chambers

http://youtu.be/Hnu0HKYjhOA

Hey folks, this episode shows what's behind the "gold key" door, which is quite an interesting puzzle. Worth is for the Queen Ant. Then we head off back to the prison area and finish it off...by going down into the torture chambers. The piano roll we find there will be used in the next episode where we finish off the palace for good :)

Oh! We also upgrade our handgun so that it fires 3 bullets at a time ;)

See you next time! :)

Episode 8 - Alfred, Meet Madam Alexia

http://youtu.be/EtrFN-rMRig

Hey there folks, it's time to finish off a few areas in this episode. We finish both the Palace and Private Residence, and then head back to the underwater facility to place both remaining proofs in the lift, giving us access to a very handy plane. Not that we can leave quite yet...

Items used/collected this episode: Blue King Ant, Piano Roll, Music Box Plate, Red Queen Ant, Control Lever, Dragonfly, Army Proof, Air Force Proof.

Thanks for watching! :D

Episode 10 - Welcome to the Antarctic!

http://youtu.be/uka_tRcTgxg

Hey there folks, this episode has the boss on the plane, along with plenty of cinematics. Lastly, we explore some of the dark rooms in the antarctic base and see just what is making that noise in the safe room...

P.S. The base is meant to be hard to see...we need to find the lights! :p

Enjoy! :)

Episode 11 - Lighting Up The Joint

http://youtu.be/eoqoOeQGerg

Hey there folks, it's time to start exploring the Antarctic Base! We find 2 keys, plant pots, stickers and a gas mask. We also see Nosferatu, who's a poor blind old man sitting in the basement :'(

More on him later! ;)

Episode 12 - Alexander Ashford's Big Bang

http://youtu.be/660wHdwMG4c

Hey there folks, in this episode Steve has a mishap and causes a huge gas leak (STEVE!!!), we turn the square valve handle into an octagon version, we see the end of Alfred, find ourselves a sniper rifle (Alfred's) and take on Nosferatu (Alexander). There's also the introduction of our new villain. Finally, we take a turn as Chris and start his trek through Rockfort Island, with a nice boss to start things off (although that'll be at the very start of the next episode) ;)

Enjoy! :)

Episode 13 - Worming Our Way In

http://youtu.be/6RQ24TIru28

Hey there folks, this is only a short episode with us killing off the giant worm boss and making our way to the first safe room with Chris. We do the puzzle within the safe room too, which gets us something that looks useful...
Oh, we also get a new temporary weapon with our new/old lighter ;)

Enjoy :)

Episode 14 - Hunter Robots

http://youtu.be/26hudR2-ROg

Hey there folks, it's time to make a proper start on the military training facility! You'll notice quite a few things have changed since Claire left, and that there are some new enemies and puzzles to solve. We use the battery, find a doorknob, collect an element and head towards the turntable with the key. A few other things happen in between too.

Thanks for watching :)

Episode 15 - The Three Proofs

http://youtu.be/Ht95UiwaW3E

Hello there people, in this episode we have a few problems with the moveable staircase...but it's mostly edited out and all that. Otherwise, we get the other element and make the Clement, obtain the 3 proofs from the underwater facility and solve an oil puzzle.

Sorry if this episode is a bit long-winded and back-tracky folks, but we'll be back on track for episode 16 :)

Thanks for watching :)

Episode 16 - A Thunderous Personality

http://youtu.be/nTui2S3rttw

Hey there folks, it's time to use the 3 proofs and see where that takes us (boss time with pretty amazing boss music!), we get the eagle plate (which is the last item we need from around here), and we start the Antarctic with Chris! In this we get the dice, or the paperweight, which gives us the solution to my favourite puzzle of the game.

See you tomorrow when we explore the Antarctic base and see what's changed since Claire was here...

Episode 17 - Damsel In Distress

http://youtu.be/-4ltc9wZ_2c

Hey there folks, in this episode we get ourselves the last proper weapon (the magnum), collect 2 out of 4 dragonfly wings and save Claire! However, it seems that there is something wrong with her so we still need to do one more thing for her...

Thanks for watching! There aren't many episodes left now until we're done, but that just means that some of the toughest parts of the game are still to come... :)

Episode 18 - Alfred's Gem

http://youtu.be/SmBuxC6AveE

Hey there folks, this episode is the start of the gem hunt, where we need to get a gem off Alfred, Alexia and Alexander. Otherwise, we collect a map, get reaquainted with a certain tiger statue, change the valve handle to fit somewhere new, complete the paperweight puzzle, find the Biohazard Key and make our way to the next boss...

Enjoy :)

Episode 19 - Mutations Everywhere!

http://youtu.be/8JBoUuOuhpM

Hey there folks, this episode has us get the remaining 2 gems, which includes 2 boss fights in 1 episode  (Giant Spider + Alexia form 1). We also cure Claire's poison with the serum and take control of her for a lot of the episode; this includes collecting the security card and...I guess you could say there's a 3rd boss in this episode.

P.S. Sorry about talking through a bit of the cutscene at the start...don't know why I randomly did that this episode :/

Enjoy this cram-packed episode! :D
