Crisis Core just completed crisis core (big spoilers and questions)

basically, i thought it was probably the best PSP game, easilly destroying anything on the DS, the graphics were gorgeous, gameplay was good, although the DMW was so so repetative and in the end, proved to be more of a pain in the @$$.

Anyway, i loved the ending and i am a 19 year old male who rarely cries, and i didnt cry, but i did get a few tears, because now i know the events that set up VII, the greatest FF game, and imo the greatest game of all time.

ok, enough of my personal thoughts. Here are my questions;

1) Why did Tseng have all of the letters sent by Aries?
2) what happened to Lazard, i dont get why he was made into an Angeal copy. I seem to remember there was an email Zack got, saying he was K.I.A, is this related ?

3) what happened to angeal. he just seemed to disappear halfway through the story and never came back properly during the game

4) the flying dog-like copy in the church. am i right in thinking that it was just a part of Angeal and tried to protect Aries and deliver her letters?

5) why did hollander start degrading? did he try an experiment on himself? and why?

6) why was Genesis SO obsessed with the LOVELESS play?

7) do you think the ending saying FFVII ment there will be a remake or not? personally i do because they added a bit saying 'hi, my name's Cloud, soldier 1st class'. (just a yes or no answer i know there is a topic for this).

i was a bit shocked at Cissnei who let Zack run, then finally give away his position to the Turks who eventually got him killed.

Also, one more thing. Cloud was obviously a wanted man because of his S Cells (what are S cells?), so how did he survive all those years before FFVII (on the PS1) came about?

It wasn't years that he survived, he escaped after Zack died and got to Midgar, that's when VII starts. All the years between were when he and Zack were in those pod thingies in the Shinra MAnsion

Hollander did experiment on himself, Im sure it mentioned it somewhere in game

Zack killed Angeal - that's why he got the Buster Sword

I also think Lazard injected himself - and became an Angeal copy...dunno why his face changed though, Hollanders didnt... and Shrinra said that Genesis, Angeal & Zack were all KIA at some point aswel, just a cover up I expect

aaaah my bad i get it now. Zack and Cloud were kept in the pod for 4 years.

i remember now (my memory is awful lol!)

yeah thats what im thinking, Hollanders face didnt change so why did Lazards?

ah well.


Now the characters Weiss and Nero who picked up Genesis at the end of CC, i just found out that they taken him under ground for more experiments i think, or Deep Ground as it's called.

Time for me to play DoC. I only played a bit and stopped, but i need to play and find more out now

1) The Turks were monitoring Aerith and must have intercepted her mail.

2) When Lazard was working with Hollander during the period of Zack's and Cloud's imprisonment in Nibelheim, he injected himself with Angeal cell's which made him into a copy. It's not related to the K.I.A. Basically, when a Shin-ra employee who knows too much drift's from the company they are given K.I.A. status as a company cover-up.

3) Angeal died. Remember you kill him in Modeoheim when he transforms into Angeal Penance.

4) The copies seem to share the original's motivations and feeling's. In a way, Angeal's spirit lived as a part of these copies and the A-Hound shown in that part of the game was clearly looking over Zack and Aerith.

5) Apparently Hollander injected himself with G-Cell's to stop Genesis from harming him. Thus the de-grading.

6) Because he's emo.

7) No not really. Just tells you that the story continues in said game.

And about Cloud at the end. The ending of Crisis Core is actually just a few hours or so from the beginning of VII. And he was left for dead with nobody left hunting him down (except maybe Hojo).

so yeah, the only question i still have is: what are S Cells?

Genesis is Project G,
Seph is Project S, S-cells = Sephiroth or jenova cells
G-Cells = Project G version of the jenova cells..

G cells are the cells of Gillian Hewley. Project G was made by injecting her with Jenova cells, then taking her cells and injecting them into Genesis while he was in the womb. Then Professor Hollander impregnated Gillian, making Angeal.

G cells can also refer to the cells of Genesis himself, which are used to make Genesis copies.

Angeal was a success, Genesis was born normal, and was a failure.

Hojo injected Lucrecia while she was with child (Sephiroth) with all the past failed experiments, and as thus Sephiroth developed with the Jenova Cells, and was successful, and was perfect.

When Shinra find them Zack is shot dead. Cloud is left alive, as he is
considered no threat. However Cloud manages to pick up Zacks sword and make it
to Sector 7 railway station in Midgar where Tifa finds him still confused. As
he gets better Clouds mind takes Zacks experiences and mixes them with his own,
setting up the split personality that would allow Sephiroth such control over
him.

Remembering Zack's idea that they become mercenaries, that's what he tells Tifa
he is now and she decides to hire him to help AVALANCHE blow up the Mako
reactors. It is here that the actual game begins.

Also... Cissnei and the Turks seemed to be trying to prevent the deaths of Cloud and Zack (probably the reason behind the dramatically angrier Tseng in VII).

CC just showed how fractured Shinra was within its more secretive organisations.

And in regards to (6): Genesis is enamored with Loveless because he is very much like Zack... he wants to be seen the hero. But probably even a bigger factor is the fact he is desperately searching the his reason to live and fight.
 
Note: Genesis is so obsessed with LOVELESS not because he's emo. If so, I'll make sure to tortue him a little more in the final boss battle.

Apparently, if you paid attention to his quotations, you'll notice that LOVELESS actually depicts a story somewhat similar to Genesis, Angeal and Sephiroth's. Genesis probably found this interesting, and as he realized the truth about his degradation, he wanted the Goddess' Gift, as mentioned in LOVELESS.

Or so i believe, the above is my personal theory to that question.

But considering that Cloud was also considered a failed expirment and survived Sephiroth (and multiple Weapons) then that tag is more a compliment.

I find it odd that all the "sucessful" experiments are dead but the two failed ones (plus the twisted expirement/torture in Vincent) remain alive.

Not really. Genisis was obsessed with Loveless because (If you pay attention to the Red Leather mail) he believed, like many others, that the play offered key insight into the mysteries of the world, and ultimate understanding of the reason for existance.

It began to become a personal endevor when he realized how closely it related to Angeal, Sephiroth, and himself. He believed the Gift of the Goddess would stop the degradation process. Which is why one of the interpritations OF the Gift of the Goddess were the S-cells. Zack was confused by all of this, and that could explain why questions like this arise. It is not elaborated too much in the game.
 
The Turks didnt kill Zack. They were trying to get to him before the Shinra Army MP's. If you watch Crisis Core it shows Tseng talking about it and capturing them alive.
 
See i thought Tseng had Aeirths mail because she would have given it to them, becuase she would have assumed they would have had more an idea as to were to find him, as she didn't know where to send them.
Then the last letter she sent Tseng probally wasn't there and i dont know maybe something went on to make her send the letter via the Angeal copy, i don't know.
But thats what i assumed, because Tseng would have taken her mail but would not have told her where he was in experminet because thats top secret information.
so when he found out he was awake and escaped he wanted to give him the letters finally.
But i duno thats just what i assumed. x
