After some careful consideration we've decided it's best the forum's Free Company is rebranded/disassociated. Staff can't really dedicate the time to invest like we did back in the day when we had a staff presence in the FC. This also makes it tricky to include in forum activities/prizes.
Some of our members were already spread out over different FCs and more recently others have made the move to different data centres. Because of this, for now, we think it would be easier for FFF members to keep in contact via Linkshells and cross-world Linkshells rather than an FC.
This is definitely not to say there can't ever be an FFF associated FC again, but for the foreseeable future, this won't be a thing.
Where's the FC going?!
Nowhere! Mark has gone ahead and temporarily renamed the FC to kickstart the rebranding. This FC will now run entirely according to Jake and Mark's decisions/wishes as the leaders and FFF is no longer associated. Everyone in the FC will, of course, remain by default. From there on, everyone can decide what they'd like for themselves.
So what can we expect?
A few changes will be applied in the upcoming week:
- The FC hub on the forum will be hidden from the public as it's no longer relevant.
- The FC Leaders and FC Members role will be removed. Everyone that didn't have a role outside of the leader/member role will be given the Familiar role on Discord.
- The FC channel on Discord will be removed.
Last but not least and definitely most importantly, we want to say thank you to ALL the founders, leaders (old and new) and members that have been part of the FC for so long. They've all been the backbone of this FC and it's something that should be recognised.
