The psp version is best, due to the better graphics and it running really smoothly. The NES version is the worst for the exact opposite reason. The PS1 version has the CGI stuff though, which is nice, so to answer your question: the PS1 version.

Unless you can speak Japanese, you won't find a NES version of FFII, so your best bet is the ps1 version. You can try the GBA version or the psp version also

the Origins is balanced better and also makes it easier to maneuver through the menu and find which weapons work for which class.
