While not my personal favourite, it is probably my joint-second favourite in the franchise. It is arguably the most well-polished Final Fantasy game. The character arcs, the game's themes, and so on, feel more complete than in many entries and the script (at least the English localisation) is expertly crafted. Shakespeare would be proud.
I’ll admit I never noticed the Amarant wanted poster at Treno. That’s really awesome and ties directly into his story.
I remember the couch co-op setting. It was so strange because it seemed superfluous. You’d only need a friend during battles and it rarely worked. Neat idea on paper though.
