Square Enix twitter-holic Shinji Hashimoto made a late night announcement regarding Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon.

Testing is done, the game is ready, and you can download the Chocobo themed roguelike on August 25 from Japan’s PlayStation Store for 600 yen ($7).

Hashimoto said he was looking into releasing Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon 2, which was released in North America, at the same time earlier this month. I suppose plans fell through since no plans were announced for it.

Chocobo Dungeon games released on PSN? Awesome!

I have always wanted to play one of these, but sadly they didn’t come out over here on Playstation. I’m assuming that this means that they will finally be released here? If it’s just for the Japanese and North American PSN then I will cry. :sad2:
